BIRTHDAY IN HOPE

ANOTHER BIRTHDAY IN HOPE: The little one in this photo is Nithya, who turned 8 on the 26th of this month. She's with her own sister, Charity (10). Nithya is the youngest child in HOPE at this time. Charity and Nithya's birth names were given in honor of Hindu gods. HOPE cannot change those names on govt. records, but after coming to HOPE we call them Charity (love accompanied with good deeds) and Nithya (Telugu word meaning "eternal"; Telugu is the language spoken in HOPE's state in India). Pray for Nithya, now studying in the 1st grade.

Veni Birthday!

Happy Birthday to HOPE's Veni! Jean Joy (left, 19) is sharing some nice things about Veni on her birthday, December 23 (birth name Venkateswaramma, named after a Hindu god; we call her Veni as a nickname). Veni is a sweet girl, very friendly with others. She's now 11 years old, studying in the 5th grade. Please pray for her.

LITTLE CHILDREN

BEAUTIFUL LITTLE CHILDREN. These little ones had just received some gifts in their village of Golapalem. Very few believers are in this village. We hope these gifts (wall plaques with nice scenery and Scriptures) will go into their homes, and be as a Seed working in the hearts of those who see. I believe all these children in the photo are from Hindu families.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

HOPE CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: The HOPE ministry has Christmas programs in 2 different villages this year. Below are a couple of photos from the first program in the very poor village of KB Palem. Some of the occupations of this village are protecting crops from rats (which they eat), or guarding mango fields, fishing, etc. The drunkenness and immorality is also high. There's so much that could be said about Satan's strongholds within these people to keep them from having a real relationship with Christ, but suffice to say they need much prayer.
   In the top photo, HOPE girls are leading the children in doing action songs. The below photo is Brother Peter (he and his wife oversee the HOPE boys home) giving a gift to one of the village boys. The gift is a picture frame with a beautiful scene, along with a Scripture which they will hopefully keep in their homes.

Great meeting

Great meeting with widows & elderly in VV Palem. After the singing, sharing the Word and praying, Brother Wesley and others distributed a new Christmas dress to all those who are part of this ministry. Very thankful for World Challenge, who sponsored these clothes for all the widows & elderly we're involved with (around 170 people). Praise the Lord for the love He's placed within donors!

Brother Bhaskara Rao doing children's ministry

Below photo is of Brother Bhaskara Rao doing children's ministry in Nandayapalem. RHM is giving some support to this brother as he does children's ministry in 5 different villages, all part of the El Bethel ministry where Brother Prasanth and his father are doing ministry. 
   Bhaskara Rao is helping to conduct Christmas programs in 3 of these 5 villages, RHM providing the gifts for these programs. All 3, including the below program in Nandayapalem, have already been completed. HOPE has Christmas programs in 2 different villages, one completed last night, and the other one next Sunday. Very thankful for these programs, as there is much joy among the children, and the Good News is being shared in every place. PTL!

Happy Birthday SUVARNA!

Happy Birthday SUVARNA! HOPE girl Suvarna (whose name means "gold", big girl in photo) turned 15 on the 4th of this month. Suvarna is a very nice girl, who has had a heart almost since she came into HOPE to be a good girl, and wanting to please the Lord. Very thankful for her, as she is often a steadying influence among the older girls in the girls home. She's now in 9th grade, the 4th oldest child among the 37 HOPE children. Please pray for her.

Suvarna Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SUVARNA, who turned 15 Today. She came in 2012 at 7Yrs. This precious girl name Suvarna means Gold. For years has had a desire to be good, obedient and please to the LORD. Pray for Suvarna. Now she is studying in the 9th grade.

Gani Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GANI (2nd from left), who turned 10 yesterday (the 28th). Gani's real name is Ganesh (the Hindu fat man/god with an elephant's head). Unfortunately, he can't escape that name, as most people call him Ganesh. But in most of HOPE he is affectionately called Gani. He's a sweet boy, very active, and now studying in the 5th grade. In the photo (from left) Moses, Jeevan and Jeeva are showing birthday greetings which they made for Gani.
   Pray for him; as with perhaps most boys, he is sometimes drawn to negative characteristics within other boys which can make trouble for his life. Pray for all the HOPE boys, that GOD's Spirit will overwhelm them one day, so that the things of this world will have little attraction to their hearts.

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth!

Happy Birthday to Elizabeth! She's the little one in the photo, another HOPE girl, Charity, sharing nice things about Elizabeth during her birthday function today. She turned 10, now in the 4th grade. Elizabeth's birth name is Lakshmi, a Hindu "goddess of wealth". We thought Elizabeth sounded like a nicer name, meaning "My GOD is an oath" or "My GOD is abundance" (true wealth). 
    She came into HOPE at 2 years old (or less, her mother having no idea when her real birthday is). She and her brother Gopi both came in a very malnourished condition 2011, and even now both are not as strong as most of the children. Please pray for Elizabeth.

YESUBABU Birthday!

THE TALLEST BOY, YESUBABU, turned 14 today. He's been at HOPE since he was 3. Now studying in the 8th grade. Pray for him, especially that he will become what our Father has created him to be in this world. Here the smaller HOPE boys are showing their birthday greetings which they made for him.

PRAY FOR MARY

PRAY FOR HOPE'S MARY, who turned 14 on October 28th. She's been at HOPE since 2009, when she was only 3. A sweet girl, who has had a real desire to understand and change when taught or corrected, and she seems to have the same mind toward the Lord. Now studying in the 8th grade in a girls school in HOPE's town of Bapatla.

PRAY FOR NARSAMMA

PRAY FOR OUR WE ministry's NARSAMMA. "WE" is just a shortcut for widows & elderly, not an actual name of the ministry. Narsamma's husband died a few days ago. Even with the support we are giving, she is very poor. She's been coming to "prayers" for about a year, but it's hard to know her level of spiritual understanding. She doesn't talk much, and seems very downcast most of the time, even before her husband's death. Pray for the Lord's touch and comfort in her life.

Happy Birthday Reshma!

Happy Birthday Reshma! The HOPE girl on the right is Reshma, who turned 11 years old on the 24th of this month. She's standing with the person whom she loves most in this world, her older sister Rizwana. Rizwana is in the 6th grade, Reshma in the 5th, both girls attending the HOPE School, which is located on the upper floor of the HOPE girls home.
