Doing What We Can

Galatians 6:10 says,  "...while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith."
The "opportunity" to do good, to help others, to share the Gospel, etc. could be talking about our time, but also our resources. Even though we still have time to help others (we haven't died yet, and our Lord hasn't yet returned), we are sometimes limited if we don't have the money to do it. Still, we should do what we can while we can. And that is what we are doing at RHM. A few months ago we were helping over 40 widows (a few abandoned) & elderly with monthly cash support. Because funds have decreased, we are now only able to help 14 widows, and one who was abandoned years ago, with monthly cash support. All 15 of these women have children. Nine are younger widows (below 50) with children, and 5 of them older widows who have children and/or grandchildren staying with them. We desire to do more, but will, by His grace, continue "doing what we can." Below is Chandramma, one of our oldest widows who has grandchildren to help care for. Her daughter's husband abandoned the family when this little boy was just born (or before). The children are Deborah and Vijay. The mother goes into the fields to do agricultural work when it is available. Continue to pray for our widows & elderly ministry.
