This village where Brother Marthababu is sharing the Word is called Chilakala Colony, "chilaka" meaning "parrot", and chilakala being the plural form. Thus, "Parrots Colony". It's a beautiful place, full of and surrounded by palm trees, coconut trees, and rice fields...lots of greenery! Of course, the villagers and natives might not recognize or appreciate the beauty as much because they have lived there most or all of their lives. Plus, these fields and trees are not just scenery for them, but part of their daily food source. From my observation, the parrots (or parakeets) migrate from village to village in search of food and nesting, so it's likely that there were many parrots when the village was established, but now there are not many on a regular basis. Continue to pray for Marthababu and his wife, Pavani, as they travel to various towns and villages to reach the children and families we minister to.
