Inspiring Them to Read

Along with new clothes for Christmas, we also purchased Christian books for many of the children to read. Some of the books are biographies of missionaries who have given their lives to serve Christ. Our desire is to, by GOD's grace, inspire the children to want to emulate the lives of those they are reading about. From left the children are Samuel, Moses, Madu, Ribca & Sudha Rani. Pray for Samuel & Ribca, their father an alcoholic in need of salvation. Pray for Moses and Madu, their mother dying in 2023, the father remarrying. Pray for Sudha Rani, the father leaving the family and the mother remarrying, leaving this girl with the grandparents.

Gifts Given in Ponnur

In the city of Ponnur (today's population estimated at over 70,000) we have been doing ministry on one particular street since mid-2020. There are 2 families that your donations are helping on a regular basis. Others we are not helping financially because the parents are job owners able to support those families, but still they want us to come and share the Word with them on a regular basis. In the photo are (from left) Sandhya, Varun, Abraham, Bhavana, Baisa, Divya, Bhavya and her grandmother, Subba Lakshmi. Sandhya, Abraham and Divya are siblings, and we've had the blessing of being able to assist them in various ways. Bhavya is staying closer to us now, being fully supported via your donations, and her grandmother is also getting monthly financial support. Here they had received some new clothes at Christmas time. Two More New Teens

Two of the girls we have been involved with for a few years in ministry turned 13 within the last few days of December. In the top photo Navya (right) is giving some cake to Keren, Brother Raju and his wife Pavani's little girl, Navya's mother holding Keren. Navya is studying in the 8th grade, and is one of our best female students as far as grades are concerned. She also seems to be an obedient and spiritual girl. In the lower photo Poojitha had her 13th birthday, her younger brothers Sankar, Ayyappa, Vamsi and Gana (oldest to youngest) giving her cake. Poojitha is one of maybe 11 or 12 children, her Dad having 2 wives. Sankar (the older boy) has one mother, and the other 4 all have a different mother. Please pray for Navya and Poojitha.

Beautiful Boys

Nice to see these boys getting Christmas clothes from the ministry in December. These are the children of Harish, who suddenly died in an auto rickshaw accident in November. This might be where the funeral was conducted, possibly at their rent home (the funeral banner with their Daddy's picture is hanging on the wall to the right). The boys are (from left) Vikram (he'll be 6 in Feb), Indra (9) and Karthim (8), their mother's name Bhavana. Continue to pray for their family's comfort & provision.

Pray for Father's Guidance

On the administration side, RHM has done everything it normally does: trying to send out a monthly newsletter and a monthly update, and posting 15-20 blog posts a month onto our website and onto Facebook to keep our donors, prayer warriors and other potential donors up-to-date about what's happening in the India ministry. But in 2024 we received the lowest amount of donations since 2012. Thankfully, we didn't need to make any budget cuts yet, but if the same pattern continues then cuts are likely in the coming months. There are a couple of changes we have made within the last couple of years which reduces the possible viewership of potential donors: 1. We stopped uploading videos for YouTube, although the channel is still available to see many videos from previous years. Here's the link: RHM YouTube link 

2. Because the India govt is not favorable to Christianity, we felt like it was a risk to put ministry information on Dan's personal page. That could also bring a risk to the brothers and sisters implementing the ministry. Because of the way FB functions (and our own lack of technical knowledge), there are far less viewers on our RHM page. So far, we are not feeling peace about spending more funds for advertising, as those efforts did not bear good fruit in previous years.

Our eyes are upon the Lord, and we are hoping another friend will resume the YouTube channel soon. And we're praying earnestly for open doors with new pastors, churches and donors here in America. Please be in prayer with us. He is always faithful! Philippians 4:19
