Vijaya Lakshmi was a Hindu most of her life. She's had polio since she was younger than 5 years old, and still is able to walk with a stick. She never married or had children. She worked as a preschool teacher in a government (public) school, but didn't receive any pension from the school (she does receive a small govt pension for being handicapped). In 2015 (then about 55) she was overwhelmed with debt and discouragement. One of our previous widows (now passed) brought her to a church where our Brother Wesley now is pastor, Wesley working for RHM with the widows & elderly. The Lord used him to bring Vijaya Lakshmi to the Lord, and she has had a hunger for the Lord ever since that time. She has learned how to be a tailor, stitching clothes at her rented home. With that income and assistance from your donations, she is managing. She broke her good leg about a year ago, but is now doing better. She loves to attend any church services she can, and sometimes Wesley is gathering people at her home for Bible studies. Please remember Vijaya Lakshmi in your prayers.
