Village Ministry and Cute Smiles

Perhaps not as news worthy as the USA Election Day news, but nevertheless this is Brother Bhaskara Rao sitting with the children he is teaching in the village of Chilakala Colony ("Parrots Colony", even though I've never seen a parrot there...). He loves the children and does a good job in making them laugh and participate. Cute, cute smiles!

Happy 16th!

Sirisha (left, 18) is giving cake to Prasanna on her 16th birthday October 18th. Both girls are a nice blessing to our ministry, coming to many of the meetings. Prasanna is a happy girl and very friendly. Both girls are talented and able to sing well. Prasanna is now studying in the 10th grade. These 2 girls have no other siblings, and live together with their single mother. Please pray for Prasanna, Sirisha and their mother.

Pray for This Village Pastor

No, they are not gender-confused, but this is the custom for many of the men in the villages and towns of India (perhaps less in the cities). It's considered cooler in the hot climate. This is Brother Laban, his son, and a widow named Vazramma. Laban is a pastor whom we have been connected with in ministry for several years now through the widows & elderly ministry. One of our widows (part of his congregation) just passed away a couple of days ago, her name Kondamma. Now we only have 2 elderly in Laban's village (because of the long name, we call it Jampala SC), both widows. One is Vazramma, and the other is a young widow, Salome, who has 2 boys, her husband dying with some kind of terrible skin disease. Please pray for their ministry in this village. Brother Wesley has faithfully gone to this village for years, more than a one hour journey from his own home.

Happy 14th Birthday Baisa!

Baisa turned 14 a couple of weeks ago, here with her grandmother. RHM does not support either one of them, but we often see them and have been ministering to them for a few years now. Baisa's father is a lawyer and her mother a nurse, but the father drinks and has health problems, and the mother also has health issues. Baisa has had some kind of nervous disorder, which seems to be the same problem her father has. About a year or less ago, she was having difficulty even thinking or talking, sometimes falling down while walking. By our Father's grace, she is much better now and there hasn't been any major problems for several months. Please pray for this precious girl, for her health, but also her spiritual life. She has a tender heart for the Lord, but some of her relatives (who are very near to their home) are not sincere in their devotion to the Lord. That influence is effecting all the children.
