We have 5 that we know of with HIV, and more that we suspect might have it, but not everyone is willing to admit it. This year was an exceptionally hot summer in our part of India, now having entered into the rainy season, the temps more in the 80's or 90's. In general, HIV is not as dangerous now as it was previously IF it is diagnosed within its early stages. Below is Sister Chanti, a precious woman of God, and we suspect that her case wasn't diagnosed in its early stages. Her son also has this disease, whom we are helping with education. She is more susceptible to sicknesses, and was bed-ridden during part of the summer season. One of our other women (both she and Chanti are widows, their husbands dying of AIDS) also suffered a lot during the summer heat (perhaps no one we work with has air conditioning, only fans). We are thankful for our donors; through your giving we were able to provide extra food for these 5 women, as well as for two of our youth during the hot summer. As the song says, THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD!
