One of Our Families

The mother on the right is Sandhya, her daughters Akshaya (left) and Abhinaya with her, both teenagers. The father is in the home, an electrician. He can care for his family's needs, but does only partially. We are not helping these girls with education, but are helping with extra nutrition for both girls. Both are weak and susceptible to more sicknesses. They seem to be a family (not the father) that is seeking the Lord, especially the mother. Please pray for this family.

Enjoying Their Snacks

Not the best of photos, but this is Sister Mary (right) with the 5 girls who stay in a rented home together. From rent, to snacks, meals, education...everything, your donations are what allows these girls to have a better life with Mary. Of course, the Lord is our ultimate Provider, but most of the time He uses His children to do His work. Below they are having corn on the cob as a snack, something they really enjoy on a periodic basis. Please pray for them.

Happy Birthday Precious Little Boy!

Brother Raju and his wife Pavani, our children's ministry leaders, are giving cake to Vikram on his 7th birthday in February. Vikram and his 2 older brothers (9 and 10) lost their Daddy in late 2024 from an auto accident. They and their mother are gradually finding more peace in the Lord. Please pray for Vikram and his family.

Learning to Read the Bible

This is 9 year old Deborah reading the Bible. Brother Marthababu and his wife Pavani visit Deborah, her brother, mother and grandmother once a week. Deborah and Vijay (6) both had chicken pox recently, but are now back in their government (public) school. The grandmother (in her 70's) doesn't work, except around the house and caring for the children, while the mother often goes with other villagers to other village areas for agricultural work. I had the joy of doing a video call with Deborah, her brother and grandmother last week, and asked Deborah to read some Scriptures we were teaching on. She got off to a slow start, but then did great. Telugu is a challenging language to learn how to read, symbols being above and below many or most letters, which determines the pronunciation. I'm always amazed how they learn to read very quickly, just as we do English. Please pray for Deborah and her poor village family.

The Lord's Heart for the Poor

Please read Deuteronomy 15:7-11 in the Old Testament, and Scriptures like James 1:27 in the New. In these Scriptures, and many others, we can see that our Father's heart is toward the needy and downcast. On the Judgment Day also, we will see that He is very serious about having compassion upon them, such as in Matthew 25:31-46. One of our theme Verses in RHM is found in Psalms 9:18"For the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever."  Man might forget, and not really care, but the Lord does not forget. Below is a group of tribal villagers gathered for prayer. Good to see some men also coming to listen to the Word of GOD, and trying to learn about Him. Oftentimes, the men do not come. Please pray for the ministry to these poor people.
