Request for Prayer and Participation

RHM is currently assisting 58 children this year with education. Sixteen are in colleges (degree, poly-technical or diploma), 13 are in "intermediate" (same as 11th and 12th grades), and 29 are from 10th grade on down. A few of the college students are being required to have a laptop or phone (access to the internet) for their studies. At the beginning of the year, the administrators and teachers don't tell us or the students these things, but perhaps because the internet enhances the student's ability to find answers, write essays, etc., some classes and colleges are now requiring these things. We have already told the mothers involved (photos below) that we are limited in how much we can assist with their education; if the requirements exceed our limit, then they must pay the remainder. They understand that, but these are unexpected demands, and the mothers would most likely need to borrow the money. Pray about this need, and about helping if the Lord leads you. With our modern age of technology, surely this will come up again in the future with other students. Below is Sowmya (top photo, girl on the far left), who is in her 2nd year degree, in need of a laptop. Suma (2nd girl from the right) is in her 1st year degree, in need of a phone, as well as Jone (tall boy in the lower photo), also in his 1st year degree. The price is approximately $200 per phone, and $300 for the laptop, a total of $700.

Going to School

We are thankful to be able to help all these children with their education, here waiting for the school bus or auto rickshaw to take them to school. From left are Yasaswi (11, 7th grade), Venkata Lakshmi (12, 7th), Bindu (14, 8th), Divya (12, 6th), Soniya (15, 10th), and Asiya (16 in a few days, 9th). The 5 girls to the left are in our girls home with Sister Mary, a precious ministry to children who are in more need. Parents and grandparents should have a great love for their children and concern for their welfare; we also have a great love in our hearts (His love), which causes us to want GOD's best for them. The education is useful, but our top priority always is their spiritual life. We hope that you will take note of the children we are sharing with you, observe and follow their stories, and pray for the Lord's blessing and power to be upon their lives.

First Birthday Girl of 2026

As we shared previously, we celebrated the birthdays of more than 70 children and youth in 2025, and hope to do the same this year. Our 1st birthday child of 2026 is Jyothi, 3rd girl from the left on the front row. She turned 18. Jyothi's family lives more than 2 hours by bus from our main area of ministry, but Brother Raju tries to go there once a month, sometimes taking other girls if they have some kind of holiday from school. Jyothi's family is one of our poorest, the father having health problems and not able to work. The mother is able to work, but must stay home most of the time with Jyothi's older sister, Pavani, who is mentally impaired. The father also has some impairment, which limits his ability to take care of Pavani. Jyothi's such a precious girl, now in the 11th grade. Her family loves it when we can come to visit them. Please pray for Jyothi and her family.

RHM January Update

New Things, RHM January Update

Looking to the Lord for "new things" in 2026, "even a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43:18-19  Nothing is impossible for our GOD, so we continue to look for the impossible. Please take a few minutes to see the latest from the ministry in India. Below is Brother Raju teaching some precious boys in one of their homes (story in update).

Praying for India on Republic Day

Republic Day in India is celebrated because it's the day of the adoption of its constitution and the transition to a sovereign republic on January 26th, 1950. One internet search shows that India was under British rule for about 200 years until its independence in 1947. So what you see in the photos below is typical of what happens every January 26th among the Lord's people all over India, PRAYING for the nation of India. Especially praying for the salvation of many more souls. India is estimated (by some sources) to be 80% Hindus, 12% Muslim, maybe 3% Christian, and the rest a multitude of other beliefs. So obviously, there's way over one BILLION people in need of a Savior in India! In the 1st photo Brother Prasanth is leading the gathering in prayer. In the 2nd photo the people are either praying or possibly singing the national anthem.

A Few Elderly Still Receiving Medication

This is Sister Aruna, one of our widows, after receiving some medication for her paralysis. Although we have had to downsize the widows & elderly ministry, we are still giving medications to several who are in more need, including 4 who are taking paralysis medication. We have been helping Aruna with this for over 2 years after she had one or 2 strokes. Her husband died about 20 years ago. She had 3 children. One of her 2 sons died in a drowning accident at the beach. His wife then died; some are thinking from depression, but no sure information. Then, because of family conflicts her only daughter set herself on fire when her 2nd child was only 2 months old. After one month she died. The children's father wouldn't keep them, so Aruna kept them for a few years. The father died of cancer a few years later. Now Aruna's grandson is with another relative, and Aruna still has the granddaughter, now 14 years old. This girl, Sai Bhavya, is one of the children we are helping to care for through your donations. Because of the strokes, Aruna and Bhavya are staying with Aruna's other son, the only one of her 3 children still alive. Please pray for Aruna and Sai Bhavya, and for the salvation of the relatives they are staying with.
