Bringing in the New Year With JESUS

A good group of believers, many of them whom we work with in ministry, gathered together on New Year's Eve, praising, worshipping, sharing the Word, and praying. The meeting most likely lasted until midnight, as that is their habit in bringing in the New Year. The first photo shows them praying, the 2nd photo several of the youth and young Kavya cutting the cake, probably around midnight. Continue to pray for this precious ministry as we are in a new year. Praying and trusting for greater things, more lives coming to JESUS, more lives growing in JESUS. All for His glory! 1 Corinthians 10:31, "...whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

Birthday Siblings

Happy Birthday to Sreeya (16) and Danny (12), the girl and boy nearest the cakes. Sister Mary is on the left. Sreeya, Danny, and all the rest of the children are ones we regularly minister to. Sreeya is now in the 11th grade, and Danny in the 6th. Precious children, 2 of 5 children in their family. Please pray for Sreeya, Danny, and their family, especially their single mother who's doing her best to manage the home.

Opportunities to Serve Him

As we minister to others, we have many goals for the lives of those we share with: salvation, spiritual maturity, watching them develop a desire to serve Him and serve others, these are just a few. With children and youth, some of the easiest ways to try and involve them is having them pray, sing, share a story or Scriptures in the meetings. We try to give these opportunities as much as possible. In just about every gathering we have, the children and youth are standing in groups and singing to the Lord. Many of the village children can't carry a tune at all when they first begin, but after some months or years with the other children, they improve a lot. These are all girls, ages 13 to 20, whom we work with regularly and help in various ways: from left Akshaya, her sister Abhinaya, Sirisha, Mary, Sirisha's sister Prasanna, Mary's sister Martha, and Akshaya. Please pray for our youth, that they will grow mighty in Spirit, and do great things in His kingdom.

A New Year, A New Chapter

Life is very much like a book, which consists of many, many chapters. Not every chapter is the same, and so it is with our lives. We go through many seasons, all with different circumstances, oftentimes different people and surroundings. This could apply to our personal life, our family, our church, our ministry, our relationship with GOD. With RHM (currently only in India), each year is full of adventure, many things happening good and bad; sometimes having abundance, sometimes having lack. But whatever chapter we are in as believers in JESUS, we can rest assured that He is in the midst of our story, and will continue to do great things and draw us closer unto Himself.

Part of our story to tell in January will be birthdays of our beautiful children. This is Vijay Kumar with his grandmother, Chandramma, one of our widows who has been a faithful and prayerful woman for many years. Vijay turned 6 in mid-December, his 9 year old sister, Deborah, also in the photo. Please pray for Vijay Kumar.
