Precious Elderly in VV Palem

Brother Samuel (the pastor) with some of the elderly we assist in their village of VV Palem (easier to say than the actual, long name). Samuel has been a faithful pastor for many years, living a very sacrificial life. Only a few months ago, he lost his precious wife (heaven's gain), which we shared with you through the blog, an update and newsletter. He lives on the church property with his son, daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Truly, he has very little in the way of this world's possessions, but he doesn't seem to care, his main burden being the souls around him. Below, most all of these widows & elderly had either just received monthly support through your donations, or medical reimbursement.

RHM November Newsletter

This month's newsletter is largely about this year's Christmas Project and our widows & elderly ministry. There is certainly other news also inside, and as always, some prayer requests. Thanks so much to those of you who are supporting and/or praying for this precious ministry in India. Your "labor of love" is not in vain (1Thessalonians 1:3).
Below is Pavan (11), probably saying Scriptures in last year's Christmas program in the town of Karlapalem.

Chinnamayi's Testimony

Chinnamayi means "little girl". She has been on our widows list for several years. She's a faithful woman, and even though she gets around slowly, she helps around the church whenever she can. She's now about 65 years old.
"My name is Chinamayi, my baptism name Vijaya (means "victory")...I accepted Jesus in 1990, but my husband never allowed me to go to church. My mother in law and husband always against me going to prayer. My husband was a drunkard; he used to beat me because I believe in Christ. Once he broke my leg, which did not heal properly. Still having that problem. I have one son and one daughter. By the grace of God both of them accepted Christ, but my husband forcefully married my daughter to an unbeliever. Still she is standing as a believer. My husband sent me and my son out of the home because of going to church. He felt shame that we were going to church. After we came out, my father helped me to purchase a piece of land and build a small house to live there. My husband died in 2015. Unexpectedly, my son died in 2016 with a brain stroke. Still I am holding onto my faith in Christ. Many of my relatives opposed me by looking at these problems...Thank you so much for all the help. Pray for my relatives’ salvation. Praying for your ministry. Thank you. God bless you."
She also gave thanks for house repairs, medical help and the literacy program, which is helping her to read the Bible. Below is Chinnamayi in front of her home. This year we were able to put a better roof on her home using asbestos sheets. Praise the Lord.

Children and Their Daddy in Accident

The 2 little girls are Manu (with glasses) and her sister Kavya (guessing they're 8 and 6). These girls and their Daddy were on his bike (motorcycle, perhaps the most common mode of transportation in India), a bus coming from another direction. I'm not sure of the correct details, but can so relate to the dangers of careless bus drivers in India who are going way too fast. Trying to avoid the bus, the bike and all 3 of them ended up on the ground. Pray for the Daddy and little Kavya, who have some injuries. Manu is okay. We praise GOD they are all alive! Pray also for the father's salvation. Sweet, sweet girls who participate in the ministry often, but their parents are not walking faithfully with JESUS. Their grandparents are faithful, and usually are the ones bringing them to the prayers.

Planting Seeds

Brother Raju is sharing with children in a village called Chilakala Colony ("Parrots Colony"). There's no parrots there, but perhaps there used to be when they settled in the village. We are very thankful for Raju, as the Lord has used him to the lead the children's ministry. We have the heartbreaks that come with any ministry to people, but we also see some precious fruit growing in the children's lives. We also have the joy of seeing kids who have been problematic and bad seeds (for a variety of reasons) make good changes in their lives and character by His amazing grace. Please pray that the Lord will work mightily in their hearts.

Beautiful Children, Precious Souls

Children gathered at Sister Sandhya's home in early October. We're trying to gather occasionally at different homes of families whom we are ministering to, for prayer, singing, sharing the Word, and enjoying fellowship together. The man on the left is one of the auto rickshaw drivers we use to bring the children, then take them to their homes. Two of the bigger girls in the photo are his daughters. Please pray for the children and these gatherings. Some of our highest goals in the children's ministry is to see the salvation of each and every child, and to help them walk faithfully with Christ.
