Update on Pastor's Wife

A few days ago, we asked you to pray for our Sister Dayamani. She and her husband, John, were the parents of Joy, a 13 year old whom we asked you to pray for many times. Joy ultimately was promoted to glory in April 2021, her body dying of diabetes-related issues. Dayamani was on a friend's motorcycle to go to her home after some kind of prayer meeting, John riding his bicycle to the home. The friend unexpectedly slammed on his brakes to avoid something, and Dayamani (riding side-saddle) went off the bike and broke her arm. In the 1st photo below, you can see that her upper arm broke completely, the bone breaking through her skin. She was in much pain for several days, as the wound became infected. The doctors couldn't do surgery until the infection cleared up, so this Wednesday morning they finally did the surgery. It seems by the 2nd photo, that the arm came together again. Pray for Sister Dayamani, still in pain, but on meds.

4th Grade Children You Are Sponsoring

The upper photo is the 4th grade class with one of their teachers. The bottom photo has 3 of the 4 students in 4th grade which RHM is sponsoring for their education. From left is Moses, Danny and Divya, all of them 10 years old (another boy, Jaison, was absent). We are not sponsoring any children in the 2nd or 3rd grades, but have children in all the grades from 4th thru 10th. Please pray for these precious children. Note: Moses's mother died unexpectedly in October 2023, and Danny's father died unexpectedly on Christmas Eve of '23.

1st Grade

Below is the 1st grade class in the school where we are sponsoring 22 children for their education. We (through your donations) have helped with school & college expenses for 29 other students also, but they are studying in at least 20 different schools and colleges. Our only child in this 1st grade is Sathish (8), the tallest boy in the class on the right. He got a little bit of a late start with his schooling, but is making very good marks (results). Pray for Sathish, the only child in his family. His father is not a believer, and life has been very difficult for this boy and his mother.

Little Kavya in Kindergarten

Over the next couple of weeks we hope to introduce to you at least 20 of the children who attend a particular school in India, all of them sponsored through your donations. Below is a couple of photos from "UKG", meaning "Upper Kindergarten". The lowest "class" in the school is Nursery, but none of our children are in Nursery or the Lower Kindergarten classes. Can you imagine? These kids who start in Nursery have 13 years of school before they finish the 10th grade! Of course, that's only a year or 2 more than here in the US, but it sounds like a lot! The only child we sponsor in UKG is one of the youngest in our children's ministry, 7 year old Kavya. We have several who are younger, but she is possibly the youngest of the approximately 50 children whom we assist with school expenses. In the class photo, Kavya is the girl on the far right. Please pray for Kavya.

Pray for Our School Children

All of the below children (10 boys and 10 girls) are being sponsored via RHM donations. There are a total of 22 children we are sponsoring in this particular school (2 absent), the school conducting nursery through 10th grade. The school principal is standing with them in this photo. Over the next couple of weeks, we hope to share with you the individual classes, and the names of our children which you are sponsoring. The academic year starts in June, and ends in March or April, depending upon their particular grade's final exam schedule. Please pray for all of these precious children.

Pray for Pastor's Wife

Dayamani broke her arm because of a motorcycle accident a couple of nights ago. She is Bro. John's wife, John a pastor whom we have had fellowship with for about 5 years now. Some of you may remember the 13 year old girl, Joy, who passed into eternal life in April 2021 because of diabetes-related problems. Actually, she suffered much for months with pain in her stomach, the doctors never identifying the source. John & Dayamani's hearts still hurt, as Joy was truly the joy of their home, their only child.
They were returning to their town from another village meeting. John only has a bicycle, so Dayamani was on the back of a motorcycle with another friend. In the dark (few or no street lights), speed bumps are very difficult to see until you get close to them. The friend suddenly put on the brakes and Dayamani, riding side-saddle, went off the bike. Please pray for this precious sister. It was a complete break, the bone coming through her flesh. She had surgery today (Saturday); waiting for a report from our brothers there.
