Help for Our Sister

This woman's name is Dwarakamma. She's married and is not on our widows & elderly list, but has had breast cancer, so your donations have helped her from time to time with medical treatment. She has a daughter (Hindu) who has 2 little girls (about 10 and 8), who have been coming to Sunday School meetings and tutoring classes. They love to learn songs and memorize Scriptures, and do very well. Dwarakamma and her husband are both faithful believers. Please pray for them, and for the salvation of other family members.

Birthday Twins!

These precious girls, Martha (left) and Mary, had a traumatic beginning in life. Apparently they were born prematurely, Martha coming first and weighing "one kilogram", the equivalent of 2.2 pounds. Mary weighed a "half kg", which would be 1.1 pound. These are approximate measurements, and probably not precise, but they were very small. The doctor, obviously a calloused person, told them directly that Mary would not live, so better to throw her in the dustbin (yes, it is a different world, but not anymore cruel than many abortions). The grandmother kept Mary in a blanket for 10 days, apparently the hospital staff not knowing she was still alive. After about 10 days (the mother feeding her as much as she could), they showed her to the doctor, who was shocked. At that point the hospital staff began to take proper care of her. Praise the Lord for His loving Hand upon these girls! 

To the far left in the photo is their brother, Prem, and to the right is Prem's young wife Chandrika and her baby, Benny. Please pray for Martha and Mary, precious girls who had their 19th birthday on September 21st. Both girls are a little susceptible to colds and fevers, perhaps more than most children, but are doing well and in their 1st year of nursing college. They love the Lord, and attend all of our meetings that they possibly can.

Happy 16th Birthday Jone!

Maybe a variation of Johnny, not sure, but Jone is with his little brother, Jaison, and mother on his 16th birthday less than 3 weeks ago. Jone & Jaison's father died in late 2020. We are so thankful to be able to help bring the Lord's hope and breath of life into this family for the last few years! The mother was totally depressed and feeling there was no hope for her family when her husband died. Because of much abuse, she was having severe headaches and not able to work consistently, and her husband had taken large loans to build the house they are living in. Now she is so different, knowing the Lord is her Hope for the future, both in this life and that which is to come. Praise the Lord! Jone is now studying in 12th grade. Please pray for Jone and his family. Jone has also had a continual problem with skin rashes for at least 2 years.

From House to House

"Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart..." Acts 2:46

 This is a picture of the early church, and it's a picture of what the Lord has also put within our hearts for this ministry. The people whom the Lord has us ministering to are scattered in many places, and they attend many different churches (most of which are not able to help them with physical needs such as food, medication or education, or are not willing). So the best way for us to bond with them and regularly impart more of Christ and His teachings into their hearts is to visit their homes. 

Below is Brother Marthababu, sharing the Word with Sister Sunitha (a young widow) and her 2 children, Srujan (the boy, 15) and Shainy (13). Not sure who the elderly woman is, possibly a neighbor or relative. Happy to see Marthababu having so much more confidence now, as he was shy and somewhat fearful to meet all these new people. He and his wife, Pavani, have proven to be a great asset to this India ministry. Praise the Lord!

Planting Seeds

Below is Sunday School class being conducted by Brother Bhaskara Rao, who helps us in 5 different villages with these SS classes. In 4 of the villages, there is a weekly SS class taking place with other SS teachers. Bhaskara Rao is an added blessing for them, because he is more experienced in children's ministry and can teach new songs, as well as do magic tricks and puppet shows to help the children learn about JESUS. The below class is in the village of Chinthayapalem, the class usually held while the main service is beginning. After Sunday School for an hour or so, the children will go into the main sanctuary for the remainder of the service (usually during worship time, before the message is preached). Please pray for the Sunday School ministry, planting precious seeds into young hearts!

Happy Birthday Little Lasya!

Lasya turned 8 on September 11th. Here, Sister Thomasgaru (a pastor's wife) is giving cake to Lasya. Lasya's father is an alcoholic, mostly abandoning the family, only occasionally returning for some days or weeks. He's been very abusive to Lasya's mother (almost killing her), but not beating Lasya or her little brother. Lasya's mother and her 2 children have been faithful to attend the church and other services for a few years now. Please pray for Lasya and her family, and for the salvation of her Dad.
