Faithful Ministry to the Elderly

Brother Wesley is sharing the Word with widows & elderly in the village of VV Palem, where we have 13 on our list. All of them attend the church in VV Palem, some of them also coming from another village outside VV Palem. The pastor is Brother Samuel (sitting on the right), a precious man of GOD, also a widower, and one of the 13. So thankful for Wesley and another Sister Jhansi, both of them full time workers with our widows & elderly ministry, their areas of ministry about 100 miles apart.

The Love of GOD

During a special gathering of believers on one of the many holidays in India, Brother Raju is sharing the story of the love of our GOD from Genesis to Revelation. With Christmas funds from 2023, we were able to purchase a projector and screen, which have been very helpful. It looks like this time they just shared directly onto the white wall. We're so thankful for hungry hearts who are consistently coming to our meetings whenever they are being conducted. Continue to pray for much fruit through this precious ministry.

Ecclesia's a Miracle Child!

In 2022 or early '23 a friend of the ministry, Shiny Crown, lost her first child in the womb. It was life threatening for Shiny also, but the Lord heard our cries and she slowly recovered. The doctors gave her only a 20% chance of even getting pregnant again, but by His grace she became pregnant in late 2023. By the 4th or 5th month of her 2nd pregnancy, again she and the baby were in a critical situation, and Shiny was confined to the bed. It is surely a miracle that she even got pregnant, and then had this beautiful little girl August 12th, who they named Ecclesia. We normally would spell it Ekklesia, the Greek word which we translate as "church", referring not to a building, but to the people who are followers of Christ. Pray for Shiny, her husband Paul, and little Ecclesia.

"Tribal People"

The outside world calls them "tribal people", which under the Hindu caste system are part of the "Scheduled Tribes". Although we minister to many people and believers who are from that caste background, these children and Sister Rangamma (some of the children's grandmother who has come to the Lord) are part of the tribal people who tend to migrate from place to place looking for work. We tried to get some of the children into a private school, but they are not accustomed to structure or discipline, so they quit. The main problem is the adults, and more particularly the fathers, who don't see the importance of education. After all, the adults "are doing fine", so why do the children need anything better, even though most of the fathers are alcoholics, keeping their families in a life-cycle of poverty and idolatry. Thankfully, a few of the people (at least 4 adults) have come to the Lord, and are trying to encourage the children in a better way. It seems that this tribal group has been able to find work in local areas for several years, so we still have opportunity to visit them and share JESUS with them. Please pray for us as we minister, and for these "tribal" families, all living in huts and poverty.

The Lord's Compassion for the Widow

Sunny is with Sarojinamma, one of our widows, in front of her home after giving some rice. Her husband died 10 years ago, and none of her 4 children are helping her much at all. Her son is living with her after his wife committed suicide; since that happened he has some mental problems. In that mental state, he got his own teenage daughter into an abusive marriage, and now she also is suffering. Sarojinamma has severe neck pain at times (from carrying fruit when she was able to work), as well as diabetes and high blood pressure. So many Christian widows and elderly are suffering with a lack of food and medication; as we receive more funds, we would like to help as many as possible. Please pray for this.
"Now as He approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a sizeable crowd from the city was with her.  When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, 'Do not weep.” Luke 7:12-13
