Just a few of MANY Scriptures which talk about our Father's Heart for the widows (and other poor and vulnerable):
Isaiah 1:17, "Learn to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow."
Acts 6:1, "Now at this time while the disciples were increasing in number, a complaint arose on the part of the Hellenistic Jews against the native Hebrews, because their widows were being overlooked in the daily serving of food."
James 1:27, "Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
Below is Brother Wesley praying for some widows & elderly in a village church, the village called VV Palem. Even the younger woman is a widow with one daughter. Please pray for our widows & elderly ministry, as we are planning to reduce this ministry in January 2026 because of a lack of funds. If we use RHM general funds to maintain the same level of support for the elderly, then the children and family ministry will also suffer.
