Soniya turned 16 on June 5th, Brother Raju getting her a nice "cool cake" (refrigerated until ready to eat). He said that she did much better in her 10th grade exams than what was expected, so he got her a special cake. Years ago the mother (lower photo on the right) married a man from a state in the northern part of India. He is the father of all 3 of the children (from left: Divya, Soniya & Kavya), so Telugu (the language spoken where they are now) is not their native language. The father was very abusive to the mother, so she finally left him, returning to where her relatives are, which is in our area of ministry. Now she works with masonry workers, carrying sand, cement and rocks. She has health problems, but continues to work hard to provide for her children as much as possible. In the video call, Soniya's one prayer request was that her family would grow closer to the Lord. Please pray for Soniya.
