Blessy and Jyothi (left) are getting ready to cut the cake on Jyothi's 17th birthday in early January. Jyothi's family lives in a town a couple of hours distance by bus from our main area of ministry, but Brother Raju goes to see her family usually once a month, sometimes taking several other children with him. Blessy was one of 6 girls Raju took on Jyothi's birthday, which was very special for her. Her family is very poor, Jyothi having an older sister who is mentally impaired. The father has physical problems, not able to work, and the mother usually cannot work because she needs to care for her husband and the older daughter. They live mostly on our monthly food help and a small govt pension for the older girl (Pavani) because she is handicapped. Jyothi is studying in the 10th grade, a precious girl. Please pray for Jyothi.
