Widow from Thotavaripalem
For those of us who were brought up in the western world, we can't hardly imagine how much of the world lives their lives. No TV, no phone, internet, refrigerator, plumbing...literally NOTHING of the modern comforts & conveniences which are 2nd nature to many of us. Here is a widow in the India village of Thotavaripalem (TV Palem for short), soon after receiving some food supplies during one of the recent Corona Relief distributions. Though overlooked by most of the world, these needy ones aren't forgotten by our merciful Creator. "For the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted perish forever." Psalms 9:18

Mangamma's new hut
Mangamma's new hut. The first photo is the pathetic condition of her "home" after recent winds & rain. The 2nd photo is the roof of the new hut in process. You can see Mangamma a little bit inside the new hut in process. Pray for Mangamma, part of our widows & elderly program, who's had a rough life over the last couple of years. Her daughter-in-law died some time back, leaving her son with 2 small boys on this same property. And here in 2020, Mangamma has had one operation for kidney stones, and is needing another one.

Girl from tribal colony
Little girl in a tribal colony. When we came to distribute food in her little village during this lockdown (a long row of huts by the roadside), she may have been a little fearful. For one thing, the other members of her family had gone out somewhere, so she was all alone at her hut. And this was a totally strange occurrence, people coming to her house and giving food. The Lord is planting seeds of life into these villages, revealing Himself to some through works of love.

A Mother Cooking for Her Babies
A Mother Cooking for Her Babies. We usually refer to this village as TV Palem, short for Thotavaripalem ("palem" being a common word meaning "village"). Don't remember exactly, but this mother either has 3 or 5 children with she and her husband in this little hut. Our Father has used us to provide food items for the 127 people in this tribal village twice. With the lockdown likely to be extended today here in India, the hunger factor will continue to exist for millions.
Many or most of these tribal people's work is agriculture-related, and this is not the season for field work (the hottest time of the summer in this state of Andhra Pradesh). The govt is allowing the field work to take place now, but there's little of it taking place at this time, and the transportation needed for many of the people to reach their fields (trains, buses, auto rickshaws) is still prohibited in most places.
RHM is limited in funds at this time to be able to continue to help the poor with food, as we've invested most of our available funds into this endeavor. Trusting in our Father's will for future ministry to those in need. Pray with us.
"And GOD is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8

THREE GENERATIONS
THREE GENERATIONS, receiving some help from the Lord. This is a grandmother, mother and 2 little ones, receiving some vegetables and other food items in their village of Chilakala Colony (all our ministry is in India). We're so thankful to have some involvement with at least 17 different tribal villages, many families and pastors' families during this Corona lockdown. Please keep us in your prayers. Funds are low, but we're trusting the Father to lead us in whatever future ministry He would want us to do for these poor people.

THANK GOD!
THANK GOD FOR MANY HELPING HANDS! For many distributions to poor India villagers during this lockdown, there have been the "behind the scene" helpers doing all the packing. Because of police check points, restricted times, etc., this work is often taking place between 2-5am, and then doing the actual distributions in the early mornings. Here we see Ruthamma (part of our widows & elderly ministry), another WE member in the back, and a faithful team of youth packing the goods in a local church.

Needy people
A VERY NEEDY PEOPLE. The 1st photo is some of the tribal villagers near the Bay of Bengal, the village name Adavi Grama Panchayat. It's a fishing village. Already the people are literally "dirt poor", but now with the lockdown most of the fishing markets have been closed, so they have nowhere to sell their fish. Don't know if the fishing markets are still closed (supposedly because of "social distancing", which is ridiculous, considering the fact that MANY THOUSANDS of people are in the streets in the early mornings without any social distancing requirements in this particular area).
The 2nd photo is precious Rani (we support her some in her children's ministry) giving snacks to the children in this village. Praise GOD for His great love for the poorest of the poor. We hope in Him to do spiritual follow up with these people after the lockdown. 1 Samuel 2:8, "He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory."

CORONA RELIEF
CORONA RELIEF: This is one family in an ST colony (ST meaning "scheduled tribe", considered one of the lowest castes in India), maybe only a quarter mile from the HOPE boys home where I stay. There are 12 families in this small roadside colony. HOPE has been able to help some pastors' families, neighbors, church members, one village, HOPE children's families, and HOPE School children's families with some food during this Corona relief. RHM's relief efforts (totally separate from HOPE) has done food distributions in at least 15 villages (including the one in this photo), and also helped pastors' families and many other families. We've began a 2nd distribution in these villages as well.
Though these things may seem like a drop in a bucket compared to the billions on earth, still we rejoice in His great love toward the poor & needy. Through His Body throughout the earth, all of these "drops" are gradually filling up the bucket to His glory. Hallelujah!
