Please Pray!

Please pray for this man, Raguvulu. He is part of our widows & elderly ministry. His wife died of Covid several months back (he also had, but recovered). He has very bad diabetes, and the doctors say that his leg needs to be amputated below the knee. Two of his toes are completely black, and he's in much pain. To make matters worse, his family members (who've never taken very good care of him and his wife) are not wanting to take him to the hospital or give him proper care after the amputation. Please pray, as we are hoping to find Raguvulu another place to stay if necessary, and a person(s) to help him, but time may be short. Also praying for a miracle; NOTHING is impossible with our GOD!

Happy Birthday Arun!

Arun, the boy in the middle, turned 12 on the 17th of October. We can see that he was very happy, in the photo with relatives. His father died of HIV when Arun was a baby, the mother also having (she is to his right in the photo, in pink). But by His grace, she is doing okay, and Arun doesn't have HIV. Truly, we can see a big change in both the mother and Arun's countenance over the last few months. The Lord is doing a good work in both their hearts. PTL! Please pray for Arun.

Elderly Praying for the Youth

In the photo are our widows & elderly praying during a recent meeting. The Lord has us giving varying degrees of support for more than 160 widows & elderly in 2 primary areas of India. On this particular day in early October we had a special meeting in one of those areas, gathering some of the elderly and children whom we are involved with. Many of them testified about the blessing they received from this meeting which lasted from 9 or 10 in the morning until about 4 in the afternoon. At the time of this photo, the ministers had gathered the youth (from early 20's down to 5 or 6 years old) to pray for them, so the elderly and others present were lifting their hands for the Lord's blessing upon them.

Happy Birthday Jaison!

Jaison is the boy in the yellow shirt, turning 8 on the 15th of this month. The reason we share about the children's birthdays is because most all of these children have not had much of anything throughout their lives, and some of them had never had recognition of their birthdays until the Lord brought us into their lives. We want to recognize them for the blessing that they are, but also are asking you to keep them in your prayers as the Lord might lay that upon your hearts. The greatest "blessing" is salvation and eternal life, and we long for each child to grow up as a child of GOD, and to be useful in His kingdom. Here, Bro. Raju or his wife Pavani (not in the picture) are praying for Jaison and the children who gathered that night in Jaison's home. Please pray for him.

Construction Going On

Do you remember Mary & Martha's house? Up until early September, they had no walls, no flooring, no electricity or running water, and no proper bathroom. As you can see, the walls are just about completed, including a wall inside the home to separate the kitchen from the bedroom, and cement shelving for their pots, pans, dishes, etc. They also have electricity now. Lord willing, the flooring and bathroom will be done soon, and the water supply completed in November. So thankful for His mercy on this poor family; to Him alone be the glory! Early next year we hope to do the plastering and the painting.

Pray for Prem Kumari

Prem Kumari turned 8 on October 14th. "Prema" is the Telugu word for "love", Telugu being one of at least 14 major languages in India. "Kumari" means "daughter", so in English Prem Kumari would mean daughter of love. In the photo her younger brother, Vijay Babu ("boy of victory" perhaps), is giving cake to Prem Kumari. They live with the grandparents and great grandparents, a very poor family. Their mother committed suicide after the father left the home, the boy just a baby at the time. Please pray for Prem Kumari, who rarely smiles except around her own family and village children. She's never talked, but can make sounds (such as laughter and crying). Believing for the Lord's guidance for her healing or deliverance.

Pray for Comfort

In our update sent just a few days ago, we asked you to pray for Brother Peter, a pastor with severe diabetes, and it's likely some other problem as well. On Wednesday Bro. Peter's body died. We had no idea it was so serious, and he had just been taken to another hospital in a different state to try and get better treatment. Sad he is gone, but for him it's like a retirement from the pain and struggles of this life, and a promotion to the glory to come. Please pray for his grieving wife, family and church members.

Bro. Peter and his wife just a few days before his body passed.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead
in Christ will rise first.
17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Happy Birthday Arpana!

Arpana had her 11th birthday on the 10th of this month. A precious girl with a tender heart for the Lord. She also has a desire to be obedient and respectful to her elders, which is a great quality, sadly lacking oftentimes among the children. RHM doesn't actually support Arpana, but she is dear to our heart, and part of a family which we have had much involvement with over the last 15 months or so. Please pray for little Arpana.

Happy Girl!

Sai Bhavya is very happy about her new bicycle. Bhavya is 10, now studying in the 5th grade. Like most schools in India, there are no lockers in the school for the children to keep their books & bags, and most schools won't be responsible for stolen items, so don't allow the children to keep their things at the school. Thus, the children have a lot of weight to carry around with them to & from school, and from class to class. A bicycle helps them much if the journey is a little long, and in many cases is safer when traveling. For a child who's not used to receiving much of anything, a new bicycle is a really big deal!

Believe it or not, she IS able to ride this bicycle! She's a real go-getter.

Education for Children

Below is Srujan and Shainy, now in the 8th (the boy, Srujan) and 6th grades. We are very blessed to be able to be part of their family's lives after their Daddy died of Covid around April. He was a teacher. Here they are in their new uniforms, just recently starting school again after his passing. We are so thankful for all our precious donors who have supplied this academic year's education needs for more than 30 children whom we are involved with, their expenses varying greatly, depending on whether they are in a government (public) school or private school. Please keep these children (and their salvation) in your prayers as the Spirit might lead you to pray.

House Repair Completed

Below is Sister Aparanjani. Years ago, her father was a pastor in a village we call KB Palem. When he died, her mother continued with the ministry there. After her own husband left her in 1988, Aparanjani did ministry with her mother for over 20 years. Her mother died around 2013, and Aparanjani has been the pastor since that time. Offerings are small, and her health is not good, so we added her to our widows list (the widows all sponsored by World Challenge funds). Here she is standing in front of her home, on which we did a major roof repair recently. Praise the Lord for His provision for her!

Happy Birthday Blessy!

Below is Blessy with a little relative. Blessy turned 19 on September 25th. Unfortunately, we didn't get any photos on her birthday, but did spend time with her, her Aunty and grandmother (a sweet Sister in our widows' program) on that special day. She just started college less than 2 months ago. A precious girl. Pray for Blessy.

An Ongoing Story of His Love

Below is Shivangi and her twin girls, Mary (right) & Martha holding an official document which has their house and property in Shivangi's name. If you've been following this story, you know that their living condition has been pathetic for a long time. The children's father died of Covid in 2020, and they have been struggling to survive. We met them in June, and from that time have wanted to help them with putting walls on their home, as well as flooring and electricity (none of which they currently have). They also need a water supply, and a door & roof on their outside bathroom. We have been waiting for the property to actually be in her name before starting, but another relative (who already has her own house and property) was wanting this small property as well. Brother Hanock spent many hours talking with govt officials and filling out all the paperwork, and just yesterday was able to make it officially Shivangi's property. Lord willing, we should be starting construction and repairs next week sometime. Praise the Lord!

Divya, just a teenager herself, lost her little 3 year old girl a few months ago (died of malnutrition and unknown causes). We're thankful that she has learned the tailoring, and with the Lord's help will start earning some income in the coming months. Pray for this girl.

Love for the Elderly

The girl on the left is Bhargavi. She is the daughter of Raja Kumari, one of our widows who we've asked you to pray for many times; she has water in her lungs. After much money and time wasted at hospitals, the doctors never did find the source of the water. Bhargavi has so much love for her mother, and quit her teaching job so she could care for her. Pray for Bhargavi, as she has a desire to serve the Lord, and serve the poor. We hope in the Lord that maybe we can help her fulfill that desire more in the future days. Here she went to an "old age home" in her town, and gave the elderly some snacks and fruits. She doesn't like her photo being taken while helping others, but we asked her to take some photos. Precious young sister in the Lord.
"Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalms 37:4

THANKS TO ALL OUR DONORS!

We want to say a special thanks to all those who give to Right Hand Ministries! There are so many vital parts to any ministry: those in administration, both in America and overseas (accounting, giving information, printing, making deposits, etc.), those who pray, those who are actually going into the field and doing the "hands on" ministry, helping the people, building the huts, sharing the Word, taking the elderly to the hospital...the list goes on and on. But without funds, what ministry would there be? THANK YOU to all those who have obeyed His tug upon your heart and given of your own means and sacrifice for the poor and broken in India, those whom most of you have never even seen in person.

Proverbs 22:9,  “He who is generous will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to
the poor.”

Mangamma outside her "house" in 2020. Only by His grace was she smiling,
not only because of her hut issue, but her daughter-in-law had died several months
earlier (Mangamma's son and 2 grandsons also on this property in a house).
Mangamma also has a serious problem with recurring kidney stones, having 2
operations already, but currently doing better. Her mother (also in our widows and
elderly program) died a short while after this photo was taken. Praise the Lord
that a new hut was built by World Challenge funds, working thru RHM.
