Pray for Manimma

Manimma is one of our widows whom the Lord has us assisting. Around 6 years ago she had a stroke, and needed much assistance to walk, eat, most anything. Her husband (who recently died) was a violent man, not wanting to help her, and not wanting anyone to come to the house to help her either. In this condition another woman in the village began to witness to her about JESUS. With the help of others, she began coming to the small village church, a short distance down the road from her home. In His mercy He has saved her and provided others to help her. After her husband passed in early 2021, she again was having difficulty, no one in her family willing to help her (she also has diabetes and high BP). We have now hired another person to help bathe her, feed, etc. Pray for Manimma, that she will remain faithful in the midst of her struggles. 

Birthday Boy

Happy 16th Birthday to Abraham on January 9th. In the photo he is joined by many precious girls, all cousins. Abraham and his 2 sisters are all part of our children's support ministry, whenever they have any need in their lives, usually in regard to education. He was so surprised last year when we celebrated his 15th birthday, his first one after we become involved with his family. He said it was one of the happiest days of his life. Praise the Lord!

Persecuted Pastor

Please pray for this pastor (2nd from right). Perhaps better not to give his name or location in India, but here he is with his family (wife, son far right, daughter, baby and son-in-law). This brother was leading a church in a "community hall" (free of charge), several families of believers attending. Since about 1 year ago an unbeliever in the neighborhood has been harassing them, and began going inside the church and threatening the people. Because of this continual harassment, many of the people stopped attending, some going to other churches. Recently, this agitator gathered other village people, came into the church, stopped the service, drove the people out and locked the doors. They wanted to beat the pastor, but others intervened and stopped them from beating him.

He is continuing to conduct services now in his rented home, only 2 families attending at this time. Pray for his family, now struggling financially. And pray for RHM, as we seek the Lord for direction in how to help this brother and his family.

Trying to Catch Up With Past Birthdays

Ridiculously behind on birthdays, we'll put a few into one post. Scroll down to see a few of the children who have had birthdays within the last month or so. All of these children are being assisted by RHM in various ways. Please lift them up to the Lord and ask His blessing upon these precious ones.

the right, his brother Chintu on the left. Their Daddy died of Covid in 2020.

turned 10 in December. She and her brother (big boy next to her) both have parents,
but their family has suffered much in the last few years from other family members. 

Shainy (10) is enjoying putting cake all over her brother Srujan's face on his
13th birthday in early January. Their Daddy died of Covid in 2021.

Marthamma (one of our widows) just gave cake to her granddaughter Yesumeri on
her 9th birthday in early January. Yesumeri and her little sister Sukanya are both
helped via RHM. Their mother died when Sukanya was a baby; the Dad left them.

Pray for Another Birthday Girl

Happy Birthday to Nageena, who turned 12 the day before Christmas. Her mother (left), Karima, has a nice testimony. Although having HIV, she came to the Lord a few years ago and has been very faithful to the Lord. Through her calm and steady witness, a few others (from Muslim backgrounds as she is) have come to the church and found the Lord. Nageena was studying in a govt school (what Americans usually call "public schools", but run by the govt). We now have her in a private school, studying in the 8th grade. Please pray for Nageena, for her protection, her future, her salvation, her family... (most of her relatives are Muslim).

Teaching the Little Ones

Look at what happens in Mark 10:13-16, "Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
¹⁴  But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, 'Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
¹⁵  Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.'
¹⁶  And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them." 

The proud heart of the disciples could not understand why a King would have an interest in little children. But the King still (in multiple ways, and through ministries like RHM) takes them up in His mighty arms, lays His Hands upon their lives, and blesses them. We praise GOD that He's given us 4 brothers and sisters who are called to work with children in ministry, and they are doing wonderful. And there are others also (like Mary in the photo below), who are assisting from time to time. We have a vision for many more to work with children in need, and to guide them in His ways. Pray for the children's ministry.

Happy Birthday Little Vijay Kumar!

The little boy is Vijay Kumar ("son of victory"), who turned 2 shortly before Christmas. He and his sister, Deborah, had just received new sweaters. Deborah (normally happy) isn't smiling probably because someone asked her to, and Vijay Kumar is just as cute (and mischievous) as he looks in the photo. Please pray for the Lord's blessing upon this little boy and his sister, their Dad leaving them very shortly after Vijay was born.

PRAY for a Godly Pastor

Please pray for this brother, Brother Wesley's father, a pastor for many years. Brother Wesley (also a pastor) is a brother in India who is overseeing part of our widows & elderly ministry. His father has had another stroke (we think the second); he's near to 75 years old. Wesley is calling it a "paralysis stroke".

Good Education for Children

Twin girls Mary & Martha (Mary on the right) in their school uniforms. These girls are now in the 11th grade (called "1st year intermediate" in India) at an all girls high school. Their mother didn't know how she was going to be able to continue with the girls' education, their Daddy dying with Covid in 2020, and they didn't even have walls, flooring or electricity in their home. By our Father's amazing grace, many changes have taken place in their lives, and they have a real interest to draw near to the Lord. 

   Pray that the Lord will grant us more donors to help more children like Mary & Martha. With His help we will stay committed to all the children He puts into our care until they finish their education and/or are no longer in need. Pray for their salvation and usefulness in His kingdom, the most important things in all of our lives.

Pray for Akshaya and Our Children's Ministry

Pray for this girl, Akshaya, who turned 12 in December. Pray for the Lord's blessing, comfort and protection over her life. Her grandmother is with her, this photo taken when food was given to them earlier in 2021. Akshaya stays with her grandparents, her grandfather an alcoholic, not able to provide for the family because of his addiction (he rarely works). Her background story is really messed up, and it's better not to share all the sad details (especially if Akshaya were to ever read this post). But after her own father left the family, her mother remarried another man, with the agreement that this 2nd husband would not have any responsibility for Akshaya, although her brother is living with her mother and stepfather. A good opportunity for demons to try and destroy this child with rejection and bitterness, but our precious Lord is a redeeming GOD and can take the most broken circumstances and raise up a beautiful testimony. We have brothers and sisters who are reaching out to Akshaya, and are teaching her about Christ. Please pray for her and for the many other children (ages 2 to 22) we are ministering to.

This is actually part of a monthly meeting, inviting the children (and their parents/guardians) and elderly for a time of worship, prayer, hearing the Word, lunch and fellowship. For part of the time, the children are separated from the adults to have a meeting more especially geared toward them. Here, Esther & Arpana are teaching a Telugu action song to the children.

Are You Living With the Pigs?

Are you living with the pigs?  As you can see in the photo, this precious little one is living among the pigs. She is like the billions around the world, each one precious enough that our Creator would send His own Son to die on a Cross, taking the judgment which we so richly deserve. Why?? "For GOD has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord JESUS Christ, Who died for us, so that whether we are awake (still alive when He comes) or asleep (already dead), we will live together with Him." 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 

Why would the King of the universe care about this little girl? It's called LOVE, the same reason He wants to forgive every prodigal (wayward child) who's "living with the pigs" (read Luke 15:11-32). If we are living in sin, contrary to GOD's will for our lives, the Bible likens that to a "sow...wallowing in the mire (mud)" (read 2 Peter 2:22). Someone has put a religious necklace on this child, with the vain hope that some "god" will protect her from danger, but only the Lord JESUS can deliver us from the pig-life of sin, sadness and future judgment, and give us the hope of eternal life. As the prodigal "came to his senses" in Luke 15:17, thinking about his situation and where his life was headed, may we all turn to Him for mercy.

Precious Widows & Elderly

These elderly are from 3 different villages, but they all attend one church in a town called Karlapalem. They had just received new blankets in November. Six of the women are widows, sponsored by World Challenge via RHM. Three of the women: the one sitting (married, has paralysis), the 3rd from the left standing (has a sickness and unable to work), and the woman 2nd from the right (married, but has had multiple problems since being electrocuted more than 2 years ago), are all sponsored via RHM's widows & elderly fund. If you have a desire to give to RHM for the elderly, there's endless need, and always more that we would love to be able to help in Christ's Name. Just designate your gift for the elderly in some way. If you go to our RHM website donation page, there's an option called "Widows/Elderly Ministry" which you can donate to.

Promotion of a Precious Sister

We recently asked you to pray for a sister who was in critical condition. Unfortunately, we didn't catch her name, but have always known her as "Brother Jebaraj's mother". Yesterday (the 1st) she passed into eternity. Remember, it's only the body that dies. In the midst of our Lord JESUS' parable about Lazarus and the rich man, in Verse 25 He said, "but NOW HE IS COMFORTED" (speaking about Lazarus). That's why we can say with full confidence that when a Godly person passes from this earth, it is truly a promotion. Praise the Lord! 

This sister's husband (Jebaraj's Dad) was a pastor for many years, probably more then 40 or 50 years, and was promoted in late 2020. She was a Godly woman, serving the Lord alongside her husband for all those years. Please pray for a grieving family, friends and congregation. Below was the photos Bro. Jebaraj sent to me last night. "Amma" means "mother" in their Tamil language.
