Elderly in Betapudi

Pray for these elderly women in the Indian village of Betapudi. For all those on the RHM list of widows & elderly (widows mostly sponsored by World Challenge in Colorado), assistance is available to them, whether it be monetary, medical or house repairs whenever needed. From left to right is Annamma, Estheramma, Ramulamma, and Muniamma.

Answered Prayers

Below is Mary, shortly before being discharged from the hospital. She had a fever for several days, which was not under control. A govt hospital, after normal medications were not helping her, suggested she be taken to a private hospital where better treatment could be given. Turned out she has typhoid fever, which can be potentially fatal. But in less than 2 days the fever was under control and she is happy again, discharged from the hospital today to go back home. We praise GOD for His faithfulness!

Mary, beginning to smile again. PTL!

Sharing Christ to the Elderly

Below is Brother Anesh sharing the Word with the widows & elderly in one of the villages. Besides the blessing of the being able to assist the elderly with their needs, we're very thankful for the opportunity to be part of the Lord's work in their hearts. Please pray for the widows & elderly, and those ministering to them.
"Pure and undefiled religion before GOD and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." James 1:27

Precious Bonding Time

After going to the beach and spending much time there, Brother Raju and his wife Pavani took 9 of the children (whom RHM is assisting in various ways) for lunch. Three of the children's mothers also were there, enjoying time with the children (they found this nice open spot near a forest area after leaving the beach). We've been pondering about how we can bring the children together more often, as they are with their mothers or relatives, their homes scattered in different locations. The Lord gave us this thought to take a different group of children & mothers on an excursion each month (when they are not in school or college). Now they are gaining new friendships, which hopefully will be a positive in their young lives. Pray for this children's ministry.

Happy Birthday to Prasanna

Below are 2 sisters, Sirisha (left) and Prasanna exchanging cake. Prasanna turned 13 in October. We assist these girls with whatever school needs they have, Sirisha in the 9th grade, and Prasanna in the 7th, as well as any medical, food or clothing needs they might have. Their mother, Latha, had a hysterectomy a couple of months ago and is still in the process of recovery. These 2 girls are Latha's only children, the little girl a relative of the family. Pray for this precious family.

New BIBLES for Children

We had the blessing of giving new Bibles to 15 children recently, all of them children on our support list. Below is a mother named Subhashini, her boys Chintu (left with a new Bible) and Sai with her. Many of these 15 children (including Chintu) have very little knowledge of GOD's precious Word. This family has only been attending church or any Christian activities for less than 3 months. What a joy to see families being transformed as they begin to live according to His Words and His ways!

PRAY for Elderly in Alluru

Brother Peter (left, a pastor) is with some of the elderly in the village of Alluru (one widower, 4 widows and one married woman in this group). Every life has many stories to tell, and thankfully in this case, many testimonies of our Father's protection, provision, comfort, salvation, etc. in their precious lives. Pray for the Alluru elderly if they come to your heart. There are some others, but they weren't able to attend at this particular time. As you might notice by the woman in the lower left corner of the photo, there were also people in the church praying at this time.

Part of Home Collapses

This last Sunday the family in the photo had a sad thing happen while they were at the church. One of the walls in their home collapsed, the wall behind them. Brother Hanock is wearing the white clothes, and he was leading the service only about a block away when it happened. The tall man in the photo, Kalyan, the Dad of the 2 children, was in an auto rickshaw accident about 2 years ago or less (his wife and mother are also in the photo). Kalyan was mostly bedridden for a year or more, injuries on his hip and leg. For the last few months he's slowly started walking again. His whole family was Hindu, but since the accident Bro. Hanock has been ministering to the family and now they are attending the church regularly.
Perhaps because of a lack of money, the house was already in a weakened condition, the walls having cracks in them. It has also been the rainy season, and heavy rains (and lack of proper drainage) had caused water to be sitting around the base of their home for many days. That also contributed to the collapse. Now they are in a rent house until they can find a solution to repairing their home. Pray for the repair of their home, and pray for their salvation (if they don't yet know him as their Savior and Lord). We don't yet know the repair costs. If it was just one wall, it might be around $500, but now there are more cracks, walls and flooring which need repairing.

3 Birthday Children

Happy Birthday to the 3 children below, all having birthdays in October. Bhavana (left), Baisa (middle, cousin of the other 2) and Varun (right, the brother of Bhavana) all had their birthdays in the same month, so as a ministry we decided to celebrate all their birthdays at the same time. We don't actually support these children, but minister to them whenever Raju & Pavani go to their street to visit others. The 2 girls especially have a tender heart for the Lord, Baisa (middle) asking us to come and pray with her on her birthday. The boy has some mental impairment, but plays the drums very nicely. Pray for these children, for His blessing and Hand upon their lives.

Pray for Our Widows & Elderly Ministry

Pray for the Widows & Elderly Ministry, now with over 150 whom we give some kind of assistance when needed, some needing monthly financial support. World Challenge sponsors most all the widows/widowers (RHM implementing the ministry to them), while RHM funds are used for those who are still married, were abandoned, or never married. WC is wanting to sponsor a new project in 2022, providing training for the widows & elderly who are still able to work, teaching them some kind of job (according to their level of ability) so they can earn some income for themselves. Please pray for that, as it has many challenges; working out the details now.

Chenchamma, a precious widow from the village of
Golapalem. A very feisty sister, with a real heart for JESUS.

PRAY For Children's Ministry

Brother Raju and his wife Pavani are leading our children's ministry. We now have more than 30 children whom Raju & Pavani try to visit regularly, many of them on a weekly basis. About 25% of the children have both parents, most of the other children either with their mother or grandparents because of the death or abandonment of the Dad. Pray for the children's salvation, and for their spiritual growth. Pray also about participating financially in this ministry to the broken in India. We also have more than 150 widows & elderly whom we assist with different levels of support, according to their need. The needy elderly and children are near to the Heart of our heavenly Father (James 1:27), and the more funds we have, the more we can help them, both physically and spiritually.

These 2 girls, Bhavana and Baisa, are not on our children's support list, but are
related to and living near to others who are. Their hearts are tender toward the
Lord, and have no Sunday School in their church. So when Raju & Pavani go
to their area, they gather the children together (whoever's available at that time)
and have a time of singing, sharing and prayer. Precious little ones!

Pray for Young Believer With Leukemia

Please pray for Prabhakar, a young man diagnosed awhile back with leukemia. He and his wife, Anusha, have both been nurses in the same hospital. They got married about 2 years ago, and had their first little baby boy a couple of months ago. RHM is helping them financially, but they still have more needs. Pray especially for Prabhakar's healing. "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits, Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases." Psalms 103:2-3
