Continue to Pray for the Tailoring Shop

In early February, by faith we started a new tailoring shop. Already about 10 young ladies (mostly single mothers and unmarried girls, all poor) had been trained how to do this work. But being a young woman in India can present challenges, especially when she does not have a bold nature. So the Lord (we believe) put it in our hearts to start this tailoring shop in order to provide these girls and mothers some work, which is much needed for them and their family's survival. The Lord amazingly provided the funds so RHM could sponsor this shop for the first 6 months, with the hope and trust that the shop will be able to stand on its own feet financially from that time forward. So far so good. Seven young women who were previously trained are working daily in the shop (1 married girl with one child, 4 single mothers, 2 younger unmarried girls). Sister Bujji (one of the previous instructors) is overseeing the shop, and still helping the women to develop their skills. As the Lord puts it in your mind, please continue to pray for the success of this shop, and for His blessing on all involved.

Construction Update

A quick update on Brother John's church/house construction: You may remember that John and his wife Dayamani lost their 13 year old daughter Joy in April 2021. World Challenge leaders had compassion on John and his wife, and gave a $10,000 donation toward John's pastoral work in memory of Joy (funneling these funds through RHM, with RHM brothers implementing the project). Because John and Dayamani (who have no other children) have no house of their own, some of the building is being constructed for them to live in. Lord willing, this church/house will be completed sometime in June. Several of the children we minister to attend Bro. John's church, at this time sitting on tarps and mats for services.

Struggling with Cancer

Below is Nirmala from Chinthayapalem, one of our elderly the Lord has had us assisting for several years now. Her husband is still alive, and sometimes attending church, but needs the Lord's touch upon his life. And he is nearly blind. Nirmala is a faithful woman for many years, and also attends our literacy classes because she wants to be able to read her Bible well.

Because of breast cancer, Nirmala had a mastectomy last year. Sadly, the cancer had spread, so she's now undergoing chemo and radiation. This photo was taken from late last year; since that time she has lost most of her hair, and is feeling very weak. She's between 65 and 70 years old. Please pray for Nirmala and her husband.

April 2022 Newsletter

Click onto the above link to see the April newsletter, filling you in on a very small amount of what the Lord is doing in the lives of precious children, elderly and families in India. It also speaks a little bit of my upcoming trip to India, scheduled to reach India on May 4th. Tourist visas are only good for 30 days at this time from the India govt, so planning to return in early June. There's also info about 3 marriages I will hopefully be attending, which will be nice. THANKS to all who are praying and giving toward this ministry; it is SO APPRECIATED!

Enjoying the India Beach

Every month we're taking children (that we are involved with via ministry in some way) on some excursion. Because there are not many options, so far the children have only gone to the beach since we started the excursions around November of last year. Below is one of our widows, Chandramma, with her grandson, Vijay Kumar. Chandramma is a real blessing, having such a servant's heart. There were a total of 22 or 23 children who came this time, along with at least 4 adults.

Not sure if Vijay has something in his hands, or he's wanting
to fight someone. 😊

Tutoring Precious Little Ones

Below, Sister Mary is tutoring precious village children, none of them going to school. Lord willing, we will be sending them to a private school when the next academic year begins in June. The girl with the head covering is Sameera (almost 11); she and her mother (a widow) from a Muslim background. Her daddy died of cancer. Pray for this tutoring class, His blessing upon their future, and for His great salvation in their lives.

PRAY for Deliverance

Brother Raju (right) is praying specifically for the man in this photo. He is the grandfather of a 12 year old girl we are helping with education, Akshaya (sitting next to her grandfather). The grandmother also is there (Akshaya lives with her grandparents...long story). The grandfather, Yacobu (which is Jacob in English), has been addicted to alcohol and cigarettes for many years. The doctors recently told him that if he takes another drink, he will surely die (his kidneys are beginning to fail). He apparently hasn't drank for a week or 2, but is still smoking. Although he hasn't taken care of his family properly, Akshaya has much love for her grandfather. Pray for His deliverance, and that He will understand that there is One Who satisfies so much more than anything this foolish world has to offer.
John 4:13-14, "JESUS answered and said to her, 'Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

Sai Bhavya's Birthday March 31st

The girl in the middle (biggest child in photo) is Sai Bhavya. We had a nice number of neighborhood children and a few relatives who also came to Bhavya's birthday function. Some of the children we are involved with never celebrated a birthday before the Lord brought us into their lives. Sai Bhavya is now 11, studying in the 5th grade. Her mother set herself on fire when Bhavya (the only child) was 2 months old because of many problems with Bhavya's Daddy, dying about a month later. Her father passed about 4 years later with cancer. She now stays with her maternal grandmother, who is on our widows' list. She is a sweet little girl, and we are so thankful for the opportunity to guide her in His ways. Praise the Lord. Pray for Sai Bhavya.

Teaching song

Teaching song:

Click onto the above link to see a video of children learning a Telugu song. Sindhu is teaching them during a Children's meeting. This song says that if we want to travel to America, we go by plane. If we want to go to the Andaman Islands, we go by ship. If we travel within India, we go by train. But there's only one way to heaven, and that way is JESUS. Very nice children's song.

House Without Walls

Three of the children whom the Lord has led us to support live in this "house". It's a long story, but their parents have not been able to provide for them properly. Three different relatives' families live next door to them and across the street in nice enough homes. But somehow this family has not been able to get out of the financial hole. The parents are vegetable sellers in the marketplace, the 3 children in school. Actually, the oldest girl Divya (22) has completed her college (civil engineering) and is searching for a job. The 2nd girl Sandhya (18) is in the 11th grade, and Abraham (16) is in 10th. The parents love their children, but seemingly don't know how to manage funds. We gave them about $300 worth of cement blocks more than a year ago, wanting them to simply place those around the home to keep the snakes and rats out. For reasons we can't understand, they never did, so we ended up using those blocks at another house. Please pray for the Lord's wisdom in this situation. For the sake of the children, we have a desire to put up the walls and a couple of doors for their safety. We have to inquire about the cost. All 3 children have a tender heart toward the Lord.

Pray for His Comfort for Keerthi's Family

So sad to inform you that Keerthi's body died earlier this morning. Heart breaking. Please pray for our Father's comfort in the hearts of Keerthi's family. Many of you know (or know about) Susmitha, Keerthi's younger sister (there's another sister as well). I can only imagine the pain within their mother's heart. Pray for Keerthi's 2 small boys and her little girl (maybe all below 6 years old). Thanks so much to all of you who have prayed.

Pray for This Family

This is Munni (the mother), her 14 year old son Munnir and 10 year old girl Sameera. This is one of at least 45-50 families which RHM is involved with, the Lord using your donations and prayers to impact the children, mothers, grandparents and whoever else might benefit from that help (this is apart from the families connected with the widows, elderly and Sunday School children).
Munni's husband (the children's father) died of cancer in 2018. Their family is from a Muslim background, but the husband was a believer and taking the family to church. After he died, they had many debts and the mother didn't maintain her faithfulness to the Lord. Now she has started coming to the church again through the witness and love of other believers. The little girl started coming to the Sunday School a few months ago, which has inspired the others. The boys, because of the family's debts, quit his schooling and went to work as a laborer. He makes good wages, but had a head injury, and is still recovering from that. One of our brothers was encouraging him to continue his studies, but he is wanting to provide for his family.
Munni is needing an operation to remove a growth in her throat. Pray that she will come back to the Lord, and that the Lord will give us wisdom how to help this family.
