Little Kavya now 6

The little girl next to Bro. Raju is Kavya, who turned 6 years old on July 4th. The girls on the left are her older sisters, Sonia and Divya. Raju and his wife Pavani have bonded with these 3 girls and their mother very well; they have much love for each other. The mother left their Daddy around 2018 because of drinking and regular beatings to the mother. We have seen much change since we got involved in their lives less than a year ago. We're helping all 3 girls with education and whatever else they need. Pray for little Kavya.

Monthly Food Distribution

Below are some village children at the time of our monthly food distribution. We are helping the smaller boy, Sonal, and the bigger girl, Padma, with their education. Pray for our food distribution; donations are down so we may be reducing this part of the ministry, beginning in August. At this time, there are 43 families receiving the monthly food. He is faithful! Thank you so much to those who are donating to, and praying for this ministry in India.     "The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor." Prov. 22:9

Small Home for a Precious Widow

Very thankful we were able to build a new one-room home for Ruthamma (Ruth). Ruth is a real inspiration for us, as she consistently has a heart's desire to seek and please the Lord. The first photo is from 2018. Because it wasn't done properly and was never plastered, it collapsed early this year. The 2nd photo is of the new home, this time plastered. Please pray for the 131 widows/widowers we're involved with, as well as 37 other elderly couples, abandoned and handicapped. "A Father of the fatherless, a Defender of widows, is GOD in His holy habitation." Psalms 68:5

Monthly gathering with elderly & children

Monthly gathering with elderly & children:

Click onto the above link to see the video of girls, singing a nice Telugu song during a monthly gathering prayer meeting with elders and children in the village of Karlapalem. We try to gather as many of our widows, elderly and children as are able to come once a month for spiritual fellowship and to encourage them in Christ.

Another Birthday Girl Hits 16

Preethi reached 16 on June 28th, just a few days after another one of our children, Sirisha, hit that milestone (a few posts earlier). Preethi and her 14 year old sister, Pinky, are precious girls, on our support list since early 2020. Their mother is supported via the widows program. Preethi has started 1st year intermediate (same as America's junior in high school). The brother giving the cake is Bro. Philip, Pavani's Dad (Raju & his wife Pavani head up our children's ministry). Philip is a veterinarian and pastor, and enjoys participating in the children's ministry when he is able. Please pray for Preethi.

New Family, Added in May

The mother (2nd from left) is Deevana, her children 15 yr old Anna (left) and 13 yr old twins Samuel and Esther. When the father left the family after the twins were born, he used "black magic" on them, trying to kill them (not sure his motivation). After that, his wife and her brother (over some time) went insane. All 3 children over the years also had the same problem. In more recent years, Anna (the oldest girl) was cutting herself and not eating properly. In the Lord's great mercy, somehow He led a pastor, Brother Abraham, to them and he prayed for them. They started coming to prayers (services) regularly, and all 4 of them found deliverance (not sure about the brother of Deevana).
The mother was a masonry laborer, but because of the men's advances she quit. Now she works in the agricultural fields when she is able. RHM is helping them with monthly food (which is what is in the bag), and helping the twins with their education, Anna also to a smaller degree. Pray for our ongoing children & family ministries. We are praying for more donors/donations, or we will need to start cutting back. Our eyes are on Him (Psalms 121:1-2).

Sirisha Reaches Sweet Sixteen!

Sirisha (girl in the middle with a blue head covering) turned 16 on June 23rd. Like most of the children RHM is assisting, Sirisha is part of a broken home, her father abandoning the family when she was very small. But she, her sister and mother (on far right) have a strong family, many of their relatives being believers, encouraging one another in the Lord. Sirisha is now in the 10th grade; she's a very nice singer, boldly singing praises to the Lord. Pray for her and the Lord's favor upon her life. And continue to pray for our children's ministry.

Our Precious Aruna

Aruna is part of our widows & elderly ministry. Though often with a smile on her face, she's had a difficult life. Most of her life she's been a Hindu, only in recent years coming to the Lord. Her husband died around 2005 from smoking & asthma. One of her 2 sons died of drowning at the beach, his wife then dying (presumably from depression; many Hindu villages can be extremely cruel to a widow because of their superstitions). Aruna's daughter set herself on fire because of her husband's abuse and bad habits. About a month later she died. This son-in-law then abandoned the 2 grandchildren to Aruna. He died a few years later of cancer. Aruna kept the grandchildren for a few years, but couldn't manage with both. Now the little boy is with the father's parents, and the little girl, Bhavya, is with Aruna. Bhavya is now 10, and part of our children's ministry. Pray for Aruna and her granddaughter, Bhavya.

Happy Birthday Sai!

The boy on the right is Sai, turning 12 on June 18th. He is in the 8th grade, one of about 20 students in one particular school whom RHM has committed to helping with fees, books, etc. Not sure who the man is next to Sai (on the US side, we have never seen Sai's Dad). His parents have many problems, so we're assisting Sai. From left is Sai's grandmother, 2 of his cousins, and his great grandmother, Valiab, who is assisted via our widows & elderly program. Please pray for Sai. He's a nice boy, but needs good influences and proper guidance.

Children's Ministry

Click onto the update above to view the latest from Right Hand Ministries in India. It's a beautiful ministry, carrying out the desire of the Father in James 1:27, "to visit orphans and widows in their trouble." Not all the children or elderly we reach out to are orphans and widows, but all are in need, especially in need of the love and truth of JESUS. This update is almost entirely about the children. Pray about what the Lord might have you do for the precious children in India. Bless you.

Most of these children are helped/supported by RHM. They (and several others not in
this photo) are part of a nice private school we are now connected with. The principal
has compassion for our children, so is giving a big discount. More in the update.

Pray for Khan

This is Khan, he and his wife from a Muslim background. Only about 2 years ago or less they started coming to prayers, mostly as a result of Khan's health problems. When Brother Dan was in India in May, Khan was not in his right mind. He has been on dialysis for some time, but took a turn for the worse. We are thankful that our widows and elderly ministry is doing well financially at this time. World Challenge continues to sponsor most of our widows, while other donors are giving to RHM in behalf of the other elderly and handicapped the Lord is using us to help. THANK YOU to all who are giving! Please pray for Khan and his wife. We serve a GOD of miracles!

Gathering in Ponnur

Gathering in Ponnur:

Click onto the above link to see a nice gathering in Ponnur. Here, we are singing a song. This was actually the first meeting in a church that was still under construction. It's dark because they only had 2 or 3 small lights at the time. Several of these people (mostly children) are being assisted via RHM funds (your donations). PTL!

Happy Sunday School Children

Brother Bhaskara Rao (a big kid himself) is teaching the children an action song in one of the villages. He helps us in conducting Sunday School classes in 6 different villages during the month. Some of the village churches already have SS classes, so he may only go once a month to teach them new lessons and songs. The villages without established SS classes, he's going twice a month. Pray for this precious ministry to the children, many or most of the children in the villages from non-Christian homes.

Youth meeting

Youth meeting:

Click onto the above link to see the video of young girls (most of them ages 13 to 17) having a prayer meeting at Preethi and Pinky's home. Here, girls are singing a song. You'll notice several not singing because they don't know this song, which speaks about the Name of JESUS. We had a great time with these children, Bro. Raju leading.

Ice Cream!

Some of our precious children at an ice cream shop. Brother Raju and his wife Pavani like to take the children to various places to bond with them better. These children are part of what's called a tribal community. In this particular community of only 5 or 6 families, the parents and grandparents see little or no value in education, and they could pack up and move at any time. Our brothers on the ground have been sharing JESUS with these families for the 2 or 3 years they have been near to us. Left to right: Kumar, Sankar, Ayyappa, Poojitha, Padma, Sonal. We're trying to persuade their relatives to put them in a private school we're connected with, the principal giving us lower fees, but it has been a great challenge. Pray for these children and their families, especially for their salvation and true understanding of Him.

Prasad & Rani's wedding

Prasad & Rani's wedding:

Click onto the above link to see the video of Prasad & Rani. Here they both are telling their oaths. Rani has been helping us with children's ministry.

Monthly Support for Widows

Many of our widows & elderly who are in deeper need receive monetary support on a monthly basis. This is Brother Wesley giving support to Thirupathamma (a common woman's name in this part of India, named after one of the Hindu gods). This sister lives with her daughter (also a 61 year old widow) and her granddaughter, a mute and mentally impaired woman. Pray for His continued blessing upon our widows and elderly ministry.

Pray for Village Sunday School Classes

Pray for the work going on in the villages. Oftentimes the children's meetings are just called Sunday School class, no matter what day it takes place. We support one brother to go to 6 different villages to share the love and truth of Christ with the children, and we have many other children's meetings in different locations and people's homes. Some of the best meetings take place impromptu, not expecting any more than family members, but ending up with a houseful of children gathered from the neighborhood, most of them not attending church anywhere. Pray for this precious effort to reach beautiful children.
