Happy Birthday Baisa!

Singing praise to the Lord during Baisa's 12th birthday on October 17th. Baisa is the 2nd girl from the left on the front row. She's a sweet girl, but her Dad (a lawyer) is an alcoholic and not taking care of the family as he should. She has a health problem, sometimes becoming dizzy and falling down. RHM is not helping financially at this time, but we come to this street regularly to meet with the children. Please pray for the Lord's blessing upon Baisa, however He might lead you to pray.

Monthly gathering with children:

Click onto the above link to see the video of our monthly gathering prayer meeting with elders and children. After lunch they separated into two groups, one with the adults, the other with the children. Here, the children are singing a nice Telugu song. The song says we are zero without Jesus. Sister Mary is leading the meeting.

Many Birthdays

Johnbasha is giving cake to Arun on Arun's 13th birthday on the 17th of this month. Ten of the children whom we work with have birthdays in October, so that's why we might have a few more birthday posts this month and in the coming days. As the Lord brings it to your mind, pray for the children's ministry. As many of you know, it is not the type of ministry where we might see a lot of immediate fruit. It's a process of bonding, giving much instruction, encouragement, etc, but also trusting in His Holy Spirit to touch their hearts. He is faithful.

Enjoying the Park

Pavani (left) giving some assistance to little ones to get their horse to move! This horse didn't rock very well, and the other horse in the park didn't move at all. But even though many of the swings and other items were broken or removed, the children still had a good time. None of these 4 children are children we help on a regular basis with RHM funds, but we are reaching out to them and/or their families, 3 of them from a nearby tribal colony, the other one from a Muslim home. Pray that the time spent with the children will work as inroads to their hearts and the hearts of their family members.

RHM October Newsletter

Click onto the above link to see the latest from RHM. Beautiful photos, beautiful people the Lord has us working with. Though we are relatively small, and though we have experienced so much opposition over the years, we know this is a precious ministry, near to the heart of our Father (Psalms 68:5-6; James 1:27). Please keep us in your prayers.

Happy Birthday Jaison (and Jone)!

Jaison is the little guy, turning 9 on the 15th of this month. His brother Jone (next to him) turned 14 on September 18th, but wanted to wait until I (Bro. Dan) came to India before celebrating his birthday. So on the 15th we celebrated both the boys' birthdays in their home. We had a nice time of singing and prayer before cutting the cake. In the photo, this is Marthababu and his wife Pavani giving the cake. They are both helping Bro. Raju and his wife Pavani in the children's ministry. Please pray for these precious boys.

Blankets to Elderly

Thankful to again be able to distribute blankets or sweaters to all the widows & elderly we're involved with (about 160). Below is Sister Jhansi with 3 widows and one married sister, all from the village of Alluru. We are very thankful for the Lord's healing touch upon Jhansi (now working fulltime with the elderly). The day after I arrived in India (Sept 24th), Jhansi was involved in a hit-and-run accident, a young man on a motorcycle hitting Jhansi on her scooter, throwing her to the ground, then taking off. She was not able to do ministry for almost 2 weeks, as she had serious scrapes and bruises on her face and body. Now she's totally better. Praise the Lord!

Big Children

Brother Marthababu is also enjoying the slide with the children in a town called Chirala. Marthababu and his wife Pavani are now working with our children which we are involved with on a regular basis. There are 35 to 40 children we try to see and visit on a weekly basis, but another 20 or so whom we see periodically. We have 2 married couples now working with the children. Most of the children are without a father in the home, but all are in some measure of need. Please pray for our work with the children, especially for their salvation and spiritual growth.

Precious Children to the Park

We were on the way to a children's park, and decided to stop and see some scenery. For children who don't get to go outside their towns or villages very often, going to the park was very exciting. We filled up a couple of auto rickshaws with 15 children and 5 adults (not counting the drivers), picking up some of the children directly from their school. In the photo, the girl looking at the camera is Nafiya (11), from a Muslim family, but she sometimes attends Sunday School with some of our other children, and will usually come on these excursions whenever she gets opportunity. We stopped at a bridge and were looking at the river and surroundings. Pray for all these precious children the Lord has us ministering to.

RHM October Update

Click onto the above link to see the latest info from the ministry in India. By His matchless grace, again He has given me opportunity to come to India, so I am now here. Life here is like black & white, hot & cold, calm & chaos...totally different than my personal experience in America. Regardless of whether that is all good or not, there are certainly MANY more opportunities for me to share His Words, pray for the people, etc. In that I will rejoice. Please remember us in your prayers.

Had a great time with these girls, this pastor and his wife recently. Story in update.

Happy Birthday Arpana!

Arpana turned 12 yesterday (the 10th). The girl giving cake is Kumari. She (now 19) and Yesubabu (the boy on the left) got married in 2020; RHM donors assisted them in their wedding expenses, and to build a room for them to stay in after the marriage. Yesubabu is Arpana's older brother. A very sweet family: the parents, grandparents, and other relatives in their village and attending their church. Pray for little Arpana, now in the 6th grade.

House Visitation

Below is Bharathi (left) and Karimun, the mothers of Johnbasha and Arun. Johnbasha is in the 9th grade, and Arun in the 6th, both studying in the same school. One of the primary activities of this ministry is visiting the homes of the widows & elderly, and the families of the children we're involved with. Especially within the homes of the children, there is usually a time of singing, sharing the Word and praying. Oftentimes there is counseling taking place to the children and/or parents (most often single mothers). Please pray for good fruit to come from these efforts in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:58

2nd Excursion

Brother Dan (writing this blog) is on a tourist visa, and thus needs to do some touring while in India. Below is the group of girls taken on the 2nd excursion since I landed in India a little more than 2 weeks ago. It was an interesting day, as 3 of the places we thought we could visit were all closed, mostly because of the excess rains taking place in this season. We ultimately ended up at a large church compound, spending time with the girls in prayer,  singing and sharing from the Bible. We also took them to a book store, and then to an ice cream shop. The day's activities certainly didn't work out as planned, but it was a great bonding time with the girls. Praise the Lord! RHM is involved with the education needs of all these children, as well as other needs they might have, none of them having a father in the home.

Youth Meeting

We had a very blessed time of prayer in this morning's youth meeting (Monday the 3rd, India about 10 and a half hours ahead of CST in the US). Most of these young people we are involved with in ministry in some way. After having a time of singing and sharing the Word, Brother Prasanth separated the youth into groups of 4 or 5 members. Many of us felt the Presence of GOD in a special way, some of the youth sincerely crying out to the Lord for a deeper work within their heart. Praise the Lord! Please pray for the young people here, and give as the Lord leads you. If you designate toward the children's ministry, it goes to help them with their education or medical needs, or their families with food or some other kind of need.
