Porch Devotions

Children in a town called Ponnur, listening to a pastor who is sharing with them about JESUS. They would call it a verandah (they don't know the word "porch"), but it's a nice place to have devotions (time of prayer, singing, sharing). Pray for this particular place: we have several children here that we see regularly, a few on our children's list (2 girls are orphans staying with their grandmother, and 2 more are from a very poor family). But the local pastor and some of the adults here are not at peace with each other, the people making problems for the pastor, and the pastor not knowing how to speak respectfully to the people (perhaps some bitterness on both sides). Pray for miracles, and for the Holy Spirit's leadership as we endeavor to make a difference in the lives of all involved.

Classes for the Elderly

Below is Brother Marthababu teaching something from the Bible to widows & elderly in a village called Alluru (one woman is younger, coming in lieu of her elderly relative who couldn't make it). Marthababu and his wife Pavani try to visit this village, and 4 or 5 other villages on a weekly basis to conduct literacy classes for the elderly, and to share the Word with them. Pray for the Lord's favor upon their ministry to the widows & elderly, for the people's spiritual growth, and also that they will be able to learn how to read, especially the Bible. For most of them that attend, to read the Bible is really their only motivation to learn how to read.

Amazing Transformation

The girl is Jyothi, standing with her parents, Gideon and Mary, when we gave some food for their family. We hesitate to give too many details, not knowing how they might respond to that, but Gideon and Mary come from a background of prostitution and homosexuality. At the same time, they thought they were Christians, but the Lord sent a pastor into their life who was sharing with them the love of Christ and the truth of His Word. By the power and grace of GOD they came out of those lifestyles, and now are with the Lord. Jyothi (14) is in 9th grade, having the best grades in her class in the 8th grade. Please pray that this family will walk faithfully with the Lord.

Kamalamma's Passing

This dear sister, Kamalamma, passed from this earth yesterday. Trusting that she now "is being comforted" (Luke 16:25). She was bitten by a dog recently, and it seems that she developed rabies. In the last 24 hours she had seizures and went into a coma. Pray for her family, and all those who are grieving at this time. RHM was providing monthly medication for her diabetes and heart problems.

Pray for Sunday School Classes

Sunday School children in a village called Chinthayapalem. This is one of 5 villages where we are assisting a children's ministry worker named Bhaskara Rao to conduct "Sunday School" classes (not always on Sunday, but usually it is). Please pray for the Lord's anointing and truth to flow through this brother, to impact the children in a significant way.

Another Baby Boy!

Martha holding her older brother's new baby boy, born Saturday, July 22nd. You may remember us sharing many times about Mary & Martha, 17 year old twins whom we are assisting with education and other needs in their family. They have an older brother, Prem, who is married to Chandrika, a 3rd year college student. Chandrika gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Saturday. Pray for the baby and mother, the baby doing fine, but Chandrika very weak. The family feels that only by GOD's grace was she able to have the strength to deliver this child.

5th Grade Children

These are 5th grade children and teacher in the school where your donations are sponsoring 21 children. Looks like the boys outnumber the girls 13 to 5. The only 2 children we sponsor in this grade are Paul (tall boy in the back, far left) and Abhishek (his name means "anointing", the 5th boy from the left in the blue shirt).

Monthly Support

Below is Brother Hanock with Lalithamma, who is either going to sign the register or give her thumb print, a small proof that the money has been given to her. In her case RHM is giving about $25 a month to help her with her kidney medication. That is a small amount, but we average over 40 widows & elderly each month who receive some medical assistance at varying amounts. One younger widow had a hysterectomy earlier this year, the total cost over $860, which RHM donations covered. We praise GOD for His provision, and praise Him for our donors!
