Quick Update on Bhavana and Her Boys

You might remember that Bhavana's husband (all 3 of the boys' father) was killed in an auto rickshaw accident in mid-November. Thanks to gracious donors we have some funds to help her and the boys, hopefully for the remainder of this year. Because of the Lord's provision through your gifts she is okay with their physical needs, but her main problem now is loans that are still outstanding, totally over $4,000 (probably more because of interest, her husband not paying these loans properly). Bhavana is only 25 years old, meaning she was apparently 14 or 15 when she got married, having her 1st son when she was 16. She had her 3rd son at 19 years old. The boys' names from left: Vikram (5), Indra (9), Karthim (8). Bhavana comes from a Hindu family, but started going to church with her husband's parents and gave her heart to the Lord. Please pray for Bhavana and the boys.

Blessing the Widows at Christmas

Brother Wesley's son, Sunny, is with some of the widows & elderly in the village of Jampalavaripalem (we call it Jampala ST, the people part of a caste called "scheduled tribes"). Sister Mary on the left is one of 2 women who gave their lives years ago to work with these tribal people. They have a small church there in that village, having this home just outside that village. From left are Mahalakshmamma, Rajamma, Ruthamma and Kotamma, all widows except for Ruthamma, who was abandoned by her husband years ago. We praise the Lord for healing Sunny, who was critically ill from an emergency appendicitis in October. It was a slow recovery process, but his Dad says he is finally back to normal again. Thank You Lord! Sunny is a very nice young man, doing a computer job from home, and sometimes helping in ministry.

Happy 16th Birthday Veni!

Veni is with her good friend Shine on her 16th birthday just a couple of days before Christmas. Both girls look just like their mothers, and both girls seems to be seeking the Lord. They attend most all of our meetings that they are able to attend. Veni is studying in the 10th grade, which is equivalent in importance to a senior in high school here in the US. Because the dropout rate is so high in India (and illiteracy much higher than it should be), it's routine policy to pass every student to the next grade level, regardless of their grades. But if they don't pass the 10th grade final exams, they cannot proceed any further with their education. Veni is studying well. Her mother and sister have both come to the Lord recently (previously Hindus). Pray for her Daddy, who still needs salvation.

Pray for This Pastor

Brother Wesley (right) is giving new clothes as a Christmas gift to Brother Jeremiah, pastor of a church in the village of YR Palem (Yerra Reddy Palem). Jeremiah is a Godly man, recently losing his wife, who struggled with severe diabetes. They have some grown children and little grandchildren. Usually when I would visit his church, his wife, at least one daughter and some little grandchildren would be there, Jeremiah's home adjoined to the church. His wife's body died in early November. Please pray for his and his family's ongoing healing and comfort. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, Who comforts us in all our affliction..." 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Happy Birthday to a Brother & Sister

On December 21st Danny had his 11th birthday, and Sreeya her 15th on the 23rd. One of the reasons for sharing with you most of the children's birthdays is to help you get to know the child and their families a little bit more. In the first photo is Danny with his older brother Pavan and his mother, Sister Jayasri. The 2nd photo is Sreeya with her older sisters, Sowmya (left) and Suma. Five children in the family. The Healer of the brokenhearted and GOD of all comfort (Psalms 147:3; 2 Corinthians 1:3) has done a sweet work in this family over the last year, the father of these 5 children suddenly passing away on Christmas Eve of last year. Please pray for Danny, Sreeya and this wonderful family! All of them are such a blessing to those who know them.

Akshaya (left, 14), her sister Abhinaya (right, 13), a neighbor girl and little Sharon are singing during one of our Christmas meetings in their village (on the road, just outside 3 of the girls' homes).
