RHM August Update, Changing Hearts

Please take some time to see what is happening in India these days. This update includes a precious testimony from an 11 year old girl who has only been with us about 3 months. The Lord truly is changing hearts of children, family members, and the elderly, and we are thankful to be a part. "Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31

Planting Seeds in Difficult Soil

Brother Raju is sharing the Word with a group of children in one of the churches we are connected with. The 4 girls wearing the school uniforms are part of our girls home, along with the girl in the red who looks like she is sleeping (5 girls total). All the other children in the photo, as well as another girl hidden by the pillar on the left, are from Muslim families in the neighborhood. We're thankful that these children are allowed to come and participate in our meetings, but typically they will be stopped from coming as they get older. Of the 5 girls home children, 1 is from a Muslim background, the other 4 all from Hindu backgrounds. Many of the children we minister to come from these kind of backgrounds. It's difficult to minister to them when their parents do not come to the prayers (usually because of fear of their community elders), but still we minister to them with all of our hearts, and with the prayer that our Lord JESUS will do miracles in their hearts, and in their families. Please pray with us.

Pradeep & Navya

Pradeep is the boy, turning 16 earlier this month, Navya his 13 year old sister. When we first got involved with assisting their family, they were in a desperate situation. Their Daddy was cheated out of his property by his own brothers, one of the brothers also chasing after the children's mother. Both parents were depressed and suicidal. Now the Lord has lifted them out of those sorrows. Hallelujah! They stay in a rent home, the father is a shepherd, the mother a teacher for small children in a school. Since RHM is helping with Pradeep & Navya's education, the parents are able to manage the other family expenditures. Please pray for Pradeep, who has become so tall within the last year or so.

26 Year Old Widow

Actually, Bhavana (in the black reading the Bible) was only 25 when her husband, the Daddy of their 3 boys, tragically died in an auto rickshaw accident last November. From looking at the aftermath video, it seems that the rickshaw driver parked behind a semi truck, either letting riders off or letting riders on. While parked there, the semi backed up, not knowing they were there, and crushed the rickshaw. I don't remember how many died, but most of the people somehow survived. Bhavana was also in the rickshaw, but fell out onto the road, not seriously hurt. Her 3 boys (2 of them in this photo) are 10, 8 and 6. RHM (your donations) is helping the boys with their education, and through a sponsor is helping their family through 2025. Bhavana is slowly getting peace. The elderly couple is her husband's parents, whom she is living with. Please pray for this broken family.

Birthday Girl, Bike Accident

Brother Raju and his wife Pavani are giving cake to Abhinaya on her 14th birthday, with little Keren, as usual, staring at the cake and wondering why she isn't getting any. Abhinaya's a nice girl, and RHM helps her with monthly nutrition, as she has a low immune system, occasionally getting seriously sick. Both parents are alive, but the father doesn't provide properly for his family, Abhinaya also having an older sister with slight mental problems.

Pray for Raju, the other night a dog suddenly running in front of his motorcycle, causing him to fall. We praise the Lord he is alive and wasn't hurt worse, but he does have some scrapes and bruises, taking a few days off so that he can heal.

Happy Birthday Pavani!

Pavani, the girl seated, had her 21st birthday earlier this month. Because her home is a 2 and a half hour journey from our main ministry location, we waited until a school holiday and took several more of our girls to her house. Pavani is mentally impaired, and always seems to have a big smile on her face and lots of laughter when the other children come to visit. RHM is giving some food or cash to their family on a monthly basis, and helping Pavani's sister, Jyothi (standing behind Pavani), with her education. They are a very poor family, the mother on the left, the father (also there, and handicapped) just to the left of the photo. Here they are singing happy birthday to Pavani, who is very excited! Sister Mary (right of Pavani) had just finished cutting the cake with Pavani. Please pray for Pavani and her family.
