Gifts for Faithful Attendance

Below, Sister Pavani is giving a small gift to Martha (18), who is one of 9 boys and girls who received gifts (prizes) for attending most of our weekly gatherings since late July. Pavani is Bro. Raju's wife, they doing the children's ministry together. Pray for Pavani, now in her 4th month of pregnancy. Pray for Martha and her twin sister Mary, both studying in their first year of nursing college.

Terrible Wounds, Please Pray

If you have a weak stomach, please DON'T LOOK at the photo below! One of our elderly men, Venkateswarlu (married and having one older daughter, no one able to work much because of health problems), has not taken proper care of his health, having diabetes. He was working with some sticks around his home, and hurt himself. It became infected, and the infection traveled up his leg. The doctors feel that they have the infection under control, and that it is slowly beginning to heal. For a few days it looked like they would need to remove his leg below the knee. Obviously, he still needs much prayer.

This has been a difficult month, having some major needs in people's lives. Earlier this month, Cyclone Michaung hit our area of India, affecting many lives. We praise the Lord for supplying that need! One of our widows, Naomi, (also with severe diabetes) had another toe amputated this month, but seems to be recovering well. She has gone home now, and we have a person there to help her with cooking and other needs while she tries to recover. Only a few days later, one of the families we've been helping (with 5 children), lost their Daddy, he also suffering from severe diabetes. While in the hospital, he suffered a heart attack... Pray especially for Venkateswarlu, Naomi and this family with 5 children. And thank you to those who have responded with year-end donations, which helps us so much with these needs!

Happy Birthday Nanditha!

In the photo is Nanditha, who turned 12 in late November. Sister Thomasamma (Bro. Prasanth's mother) is giving her the cake. Nanditha is mostly calm (not a big talker), and maybe a little shy, but a nice girl. She and her 2 sisters attend many of our meetings, and their Daddy is an auto rickshaw driver (3-wheel taxis), helping us much with bringing people to the meetings and taking them home afterward. Your donations are helping Nanditha and her older sister with their education. Please pray for Nanditha.

Pray for This Grieving Family

The Daddy in this photo, Venkatesh, died of a sudden heart attack today (the 24th). He was a diabetic and experiencing many health problems at the time he passed. Please pray for his precious family. The mother came to Christ a few years ago, and she and the children (ages 10 to 17) faithfully attend the services and Sunday School. From left the children are: Suma, Danny, Sreeya, Pavan and Sowmya, the oldest. Already we've been helping this family with monthly support and education for most of the children. We will definitely need to help them more in the days to come. Pray with us for the Lord's guidance into how we can help this mother (who perhaps has never worked a job before) earn some income to help her family. And most of all, pray for their broken hearts. JESUS was sent by the Father for this purpose: "He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted...to comfort all who mourn...to give beauty for ashes", and only He can (Isaiah 61:1-3).

Happy Birthday Baji Reddy!

Nandini (left) is giving cake to her older brother Baji Reddy on his 13th birthday recently. We're not really supporting these children because their Daddy is strong and working. We did help this boy once when he had a bicycle accident and needed a surgery. He attends the tutoring class regularly that our Sister Mary is conducting, which your donations are partially supporting, and he also comes sometimes when we go to his area for any children's meeting. Please pray for Baji Reddy and Nandini.
