Happy for School Holidays!

This is Sister Mary with her tutoring class (they call it "tuition" here). The great majority of the children from nursery through 12th in this area are happy that the summer holidays have finally come. A small percentage of the children had their last day of school today, but most of the schools ended earlier. This tutoring class may continue to some degree during the summer holidays, just to keep the children from getting totally out of the habit of studying. Most schools will open again around the 2nd week of June. This is not your typical tutoring class, as Mary is more concerned about the spiritual life of the children, working on their character, as well as teaching them some songs and Scriptures. Pray for her ministry to the children.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Bathrooms

Sister Aparanjani in front of some bathrooms which were recently repaired. We're investing more money into the widows and elderly's house repairs this year, not knowing if funds will be there next year to do these things. Pray with us, that the Lord will raise up a new sponsor or sponsors to fill the huge gap left as our main sponsor for the last 5 years, World Challenge, is no longer sponsoring our widows after 2023 (they have had a change of direction in their own ministry priorities). Aparanjani, a widow, is currently serving as the pastor in a Baptist church in a village called KB Palem.

Children & Elderly Praising Together

Children & elderly in a village called Thunagunta. Usually, when we go to visit the elderly & widows (some of them younger), it's only adults in the meeting. But this time, because the children are getting out of school around noon as the summer heat is increasing, several children also attended. Two of the girls and one of the boys are the children of a young widow we are assisting with food each month, her husband dying of some kind of skin disease. Pray about joining us financially so that we can reach many more children and elderly with the love of JESUS Christ.

A Little Child Will Lead Them

Here, little Kavya (7) is leading by way of example. Although young and not able to write the Scriptures yet, for the 2nd month in a row she was able to say all 10 Verses, one of only a few of the children who were able to say or write all the Verses correctly (all these children said verbally, and older children were in a different place writing). She's not even from a Christian home, but her grandmother is teaching her very diligently. Praise the Lord for Godly grandparents!

Praise the Lord! Click onto the above link to see some of what has been happening in the ministry in India during the last month or so. Please keep us in your prayers; many needs are there, physically, financially and spiritually. Bless you.

Below is Brother Raju sharing with children and a few adults. Pray for Raju, who is currently not feeling well, having a cold and much weakness.

The VALUE of the Scriptures

Soniya (almost 13) is about to say the Scriptures for a Scripture Exam that took place yesterday. She did very well, saying all 10 Scriptures accurately. Because she is originally from another state, she doesn't know the local language well enough to write the exam, so she said it verbally. All the children sitting here are doing the exam verbally. Under the tent in the background is Brother Raju & other adults with the children who are writing the exam, some writing 10 Verses, and others 20 Verses, depending on their level of ability.
"But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper." Psalms 1:2-3

Preparing the Way

Believers of all ages are here praying for the ministry, and for the Word which is about to be preached in this meeting. This particular activity (prayer) doesn't usually receive a lot of attention, or receive much credit for moves of the Holy Spirit which take place among the Lord's people. But without the prayers of His people, how much of His power and anointing will be released among us? Of course He can do anything, with or without our prayers, but we can see in the Bible and within the records of revival history that the Lord honors those who understand that, apart from His grace and favor, nothing of real benefit will happen in our meetings. May the Lord direct our hearts to the upper room once again.

Happy 15th Birthday, Pinky!

9th grade classmates are giving a gift to Pinky on her 15th birthday, April 3rd. RHM (your donations) is sponsoring Pinky's education, as well as for the other 2 girls on the right, Mahima and Nageena. In a previous post, we recognized Mahima, who also turned 15 on April 1st. Pray for Pinky and all of these girls, for their studies, their families, their salvation, and that they would be a witness for His glory.

Carelessness

Do you see anything wrong with this picture? Sadly, it is far too normal here in India: the Dad is driving the motorcycle, the wife riding side-saddle on the back with their precious baby girl in her arms. Not only is this situation extremely dangerous in itself, but especially in the cities where this pic was taken (they're waiting at the railway gate for the trains to go by and the "gate" to open), India is a place where traffic is equivalent to chaos, accidents ready to happen at any time. I would like to think that the people whom we work with are wiser than this, but that simply is not reality in many cases. Pray for the adults whom we work with, and the youth who are on the bikes, that they will have the wisdom and common sense to make good decisions, and not take these kind of foolish risks.
