"Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of GOD." Mark 10:14
Many of you are familiar with the story: some parents had brought their children to the Lord JESUS so that He would "touch them", probably meaning to pray for them and bless them. The disciples rebuked them, telling them to take the children away. "But when JESUS saw it, He was greatly displeased..." (Verse 13). Like so many of us, the disciples had many things to learn about the Heart of GOD, and this is one of those lessons: the children are very important to Him. He created them (we ALL started out as they), and His Word puts great emphasis on the parents, guardians & other adults' responsibility to guide these little ones to JESUS, to teach them His ways, to be good examples for them, and to not do anything which would become a stumbling block (hindrance) to them reaching His loving Arms. "And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them." Mark 10:16
