Below is Shine (12, pronounced as Shiny with a long i) with her new bicycle, which she received yesterday. She will use the bicycle to go to her school, which will be safer for her than walking. Pray for Shine, her mother and brother, Shine's father dying in a tractor accident 3 or 4 weeks ago. We are praying for the Lord's discernment in regard to RHM's financial involvement with her family. The family is poor, but there are many relatives. As you might understand, some relatives might be very compassionate and willing to assist another relative in need. But the majority will avoid any financial involvement, even though they may be able to assist. The mother will go to work as a daily laborer when she is permitted. At this time, some of her relatives and village elders forbid her to go outside her house area for 3 months because her husband died. Don't ask for the reason or logic of this; the people enforcing these rules are not able to reason. The woman, even if she is totally impoverished and has children to feed, must follow these rules or suffer much scolding and harassment from others. Shine and her older brother also had to stay in the home and immediate surroundings for 15 days before they could go outside. Please pray for the family.
