Monthly Food Distribution

Below is Brother Yacobu (Telugu for Jacob), receiving a small amount of rice each month from RHM funds. Jacob is the grandfather of 2 girls we're assisting, Preethi and Pinky. Jacob has had 2 or 3 strokes, so is not able to work on any consistent basis. His wife works when she is able, but she also is not always able.
   In July 2022 we were giving more than $900 worth of food to 43 families (different amounts according to their need). Because of less donations coming in at that time, we gradually reduced the number of recipients to the current number of 25 families, and giving a smaller amount to each person or family. Now we are giving about $150 worth of food each month.    

Pray that our precious Father, from Whom comes "every good thing given and every perfect gift" (James 1:17), will grant us more donations so that more can be done to bless the needy with physical helps, such as food and clothing.

Happy 7th to Lasya!

Pradeep (14) and his sister Navya (11) are giving cake to their cousin Lasya, who turned 7 on the 11th of this month. Your donations are helping with the education of all 3 of these children. Lasya's father is abusive, comes and goes from the home, and doesn't provide for the family even when he is there. The mother has been faithful to seek the Lord, and does cleaning jobs or other simple jobs when it is available. Please pray for Lasya. Remember that the clothing is not as expensive as it might look, and if you visit the homes of most all the children we are ministering to, you will observe that food and clothing is about all they have. Toys are rare among these families.

Finishing House Repairs

We shared with you in early August how a utility pole fell on top of our girl Veni's roof, putting a hole in it and doing some other damage. A gracious donor responded to the news and gave a $500 donation, which was almost enough to replace the entire roof, which already had other leaks as well. Veni's parents decided to take a loan and do some other much needed repairs at the same time. Pray for Veni (14, girl in pink dress on the right) and her family. Many physical and spiritual needs are in her family; trusting the Lord to do wonders!

Cute Little Ones

Benny, Manu & Kavya after a recent meeting. Benny is Brother Prasanth's son, Prasanth a pastor who helps us much in ministry. Manu & Kavya are sisters, the grandchildren of some of the local church members whom we see regularly. Their grandfather has helped us much in ministry over the years with physical works: serving meals, helping with the arrangements at meetings, etc. Pray for Manu & Kavya's parents, who do not attend the prayers, and need salvation. These girls are very happy to attend whenever they have opportunity.

One of Our Widows

This is Sivamma (named after one of the main "gods" of India). Sivamma is on our widows list, her husband dying in 2020. She is in one house with her daughter (also a widow), and that daughter's 2 children, both about 20 years old. Your donations have helped Sivamma with a small amount of monthly support (cash), some of her medical needs and more recently, helped to replace her roof. There's also been help for her daughter's medical needs, the granddaughter's medical needs (much crying when her Daddy died caused some problems with headaches), and education support for her grandson. Please pray for her family.
