Happy Birthday Navya!

Navya turned 11 yesterday, the 30th. Here, her parents are giving her some cake, the cake-cutting done during the evening service at their church. Their family has endured much, the father a shepherd, the mother working as a helper with the children in a school. The father's relatives gave them many problems after they became believers (the relatives are Hindus), including beatings, taking their property away, etc. In His mercies, He brought them through these trials and now they are strong in the Lord. Navya is an obedient girl, a good student (6th grade), and has a desire to please the Lord. Please pray for Navya and her family; she also has an older brother in the 9th grade.

CHRISTmas in School

From right: Sreeya, Sameera, Navya & Nageena singing a song during the Christmas program in the school in which we have 20 children we're involved with. All 4 of these girls are ones we are assisting with educational fees in this private school (TOTAL expenses per child are less than $300 a YEAR). We are very thankful that, although this is not considered a Christian school, most of the staff are believers, most of the children are from Christian homes, and Christmas is the only festival they celebrate in the school. There are some children from other religions in the school, and there are a multitude of religious festivals in India, but the staff is giving preference to honoring Christ at the time of Christmas. Praise the Lord!

2022 is almost gone, so pray about helping us with a year-end gift if you can. Bless you.

6th Christmas Program

Brother Raju led the program in a village called NTR Colony. With him is the boy Jeevan, and the girl, Lavanya, who happens to be Raju's niece. Both children are about to say Scriptures or the Books of the Bible. All the children have done really well, honoring the Lord in these meetings by preparing properly to do their particular parts. Thanks once again to those who helped us with Christmas funds so that we could conduct these meetings and distribute snacks to all. About 70 people gathered in this small church.

Have a Blessed Christmas!

We wish you a happy and blessed Christmas today! Below is Sister Mary (left), who has done an amazing job in helping the children with skits, songs, "object lessons", saying Scriptures, the Books of the Bible and other edifying presentations. We thank GOD for her and others who have worked so hard with the children, and a few skits or object lessons with adults also. We are so blessed to see Nagapriya (girl on the right) involved in this "object lesson", teaching us how to walk faithfully with Christ. Nagapriya is a girl we asked you to pray for in 2019. She's part of a Hindu family, but was allowed to attend Sunday School. During a VBS that year, she became too hot, developed a fever and was taken home. Shortly later she went into a coma, and stayed in a come for 10 days. The doctors didn't have any hope for her survival, as no medication or treatment was producing any hopes or signs of coming out of the coma. On the 11th day she suddenly woke up, the same day talking, eating and feeling fine; she continued to be weak for a few days. Her parents have still not surrendered to Christ completely, but their 3 young girls are all involved with some of the Sunday School activities. Trusting for their salvation.

Our 3rd CHRISTmas Meeting

9 year old Bhavya saying Scriptures or Books of the Bible during the Christmas meeting in the town of Ponnur. Bhavya is one of our children who lives with her grandmother, now in the 5th grade and growing fast! She'll be 10 in January. The Christmas programs are going well, by His love and grace, 7 of the 9 programs now completed. It's been a great opportunity to share the WHY of His being born, and WHY our Father would give His own Son for such a people as us. Please pray for our last 2 meetings, this Friday and Saturday.

Park Excursion for the Children

Boys Pavan, Jaison & Prem Kumar going down the slide, at least as far as Pavan is allowing. A couple of weeks ago we took 12 children with us to a large park where there were several slides, swings and other activities for the children. Brother Raju and sisters Sonia and little Kavya are to the right. Most of these children, and most of all the children we work with do not have fathers. Pray that the love and time given to them will be used by the Holy Spirit to draw them closer to Himself. "A Father to the fatherless and a Defender of the widows is GOD in His holy habitation." Psalms 68:5

Pray also that the Lord will use this blog, Youtube, the updates, newsletters and Facebook pages to connect us with generous donors. Trusting Him.

GOD's Love for the Elderly

In the photo is Bhaskar with his daughter and 2 small grandchildren. Some of the you may remember Krupamma, who was Bhaskar's wife. She had severe diabetic problems, and eventually had both her legs amputated above the knee. She suffered a lot the last couple of years of her life, but her husband had much love for her and took very good care of her. After her body died early this year, we added Bhaskar to the widows/widowers list. His daughter told us this last week that her father's mind has not been the same since his wife died, and he's not able to communicate properly. He misses her very much. Pray for the Lord's comfort in Bhaskar's life, and that He will have a clear understanding of the Lord's great salvation.

Our 2nd Christmas Program

Some boys (who are not part of this particular village) are singing a song during a recent Christmas meeting in a village called Devuni Manyam ("GOD's village" is the meaning). There's actually several or many villages with this name, as the name of GOD can also be applied to one of multitudes of "gods" in India. Pray for all the Christmas activities this year, as we are desiring to put less emphasis on the children's enjoyment, and more emphasis upon the true meaning of this season: "For GOD so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Our 1st Christmas Program

This took place in our first Christmas program for 2022. Brother Bhaskara Rao is with some boys in the village of Chilakala Colony ("parrots colony", although it seems that the parrots all migrated somewhere else). Please pray for all the village/town programs; we want Him to be glorified through every meeting.
"Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth." Psalms 115:1
