Badly Burned! Please Pray

Latha had a terrible accident on Sunday while she was trying to use wood to start a fire and boil some water. She had an undergarment that caught on fire by her feet. Frantically trying to put out the fire with her right hand, she suffered major burns as you can see. Her legs were also burnt, but not as badly. Latha is the single mother of 2 teenage girls, Sirisha (16) and Prasanna (14), we're assisting with education and whatever else they might need. Please pray that Sister Latha will heal completely. We thank the Lord that she is still with us!

Kindergarten

Kavya (girl with a book & pencil in her hands and ribbons in her hair) is one girl that RHM is helping with education or whatever needs she might have. These are a few of the students in her kindergarten class. Kavya has 2 older sisters that your donations are also helping, Soniya (7th grade) and Divya (3rd grade). These girls lived with their parents in a northern state of India, but after years of abuse and alcoholism, the mother finally left their father, taking the girls back to her native place, which is where we are doing most of the children's ministry. These 3 girls LOVE Bro. Raju, and look to him as an older brother or father figure in their lives. Please pray for these precious children, and for their salvation. Pray also for their mother, who has been very receptive of our help for her family, but needs a deeper walk with the Lord.

Sunday School, Learning to Pray

Little ones learning to pray in Sunday School. So many children throughout the world grow up attending Sunday School classes somewhere. Sadly, perhaps most go astray and turn to their own way (Isaiah 53:6; 1 Peter 2:25). But the love that is shown to these children, and the seeds of GOD's Word which are sown into their hearts, ultimately turns some back to Him. We sow by faith, trusting that our "labor is not in vain in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 15:58). Several months ago, we started helping with the Sunday School in this particular village. As the Lord leads you, please pray for the Sunday School ministry which is taking place in 5 different villages.

Pray for this Elderly Man

Brother John from a village we call SR Colony. John and his wife, Suvarthamma (her name means "Gospel"), are both on our list of RHM elderly. John is a sweet man. He has many health problems, especially asthma. He has difficulty breathing and difficulty walking. But he loves the Lord. Many times we have seen him shed tears as he is calling out to the Lord, confessing his sins, having a need, or sometimes just longing for more of GOD in his life. It's so precious to see this kind of hunger in the elderly. Praise the Lord! Please keep our elderly ministry in your prayers, and give if the Lord leads you to help them. As the Lord enables us, we help them physically, and we try to meet with them on a regular basis to minister to them through the Word and prayer.

Rejoicing in Heaven!

The Lord JESUS said that there is "rejoicing in the presence of the angels of GOD over one sinner who repents." Luke 15:10  We trust that they are also rejoicing when that sinner takes the step to identify themselves with Christ in baptism. The 2 on the right, Martha (17) and her mother Shivangi, took baptism in late December. What a change we have seen in their lives and circumstances over the last year and a half since we met them! Martha's twin sister, Mary (left), is hesitating before selling out to the Lord (she says she doesn't really understand about salvation and walking with GOD), but we're trusting Him to touch her heart in the soon and coming days. Their daddy died of Covid in 2020, and the family has suffered much since that time, but the Lord has and is continuing to do great things in their lives. Praise the Lord!

Abraham & Bhavya

Brother Raju and his wife Pavani are giving cake (common tradition during birthday celebrations in India) to Abraham (17) and Bhavya Sri (10) in January. Our "celebrations" are typically singing songs to the Lord, sharing the Word to whoever is gathered, and having a short time of prayer before cutting the cake. If the cake's not big enough for those gathered, other snacks are usually provided, at least for the children. RHM is helping Abraham with his education; he's now studying in a poly-technical college. Your donations have also helped his family in various ways during their financial struggles. Bhavya is studying in the 5th grade, living with her grandmother after her parents died of AIDS when she was a baby. Please pray for these children, however the Lord would put it in your heart, but especially for their salvation.

Update on Recent Prayer Requests

Here's an update about 3 different prayer requests we've made in the last few days.
1. Chanti (below with her son, Paul, and a relative named Akshaya). Chanti had a hysterectomy, which some doctors were not willing to do, saying she was a high-risk case. The surgery seemed to go well; she was in ICU one day, then moved to another room. She seems to be recovering well at this time.
2. Baji had a liver transplant last Saturday. It went from about 9:30am until 1:30 the following morning. First, they took part of his wife Navya's liver, removed the bad part of his liver, then attached her liver to his. Now that is "two becoming one flesh". Both are still in ICU, but at this point doing well. It truly is amazing the knowledge He has given to the medical field these days; we give Him all the glory!
3. We asked you to pray for Brother Raju's wife, Pavani, who has had some infection in her blood and lungs. She also is doing better, but is still struggling with coughing.

We PRAISE GOD for His faithfulness and mercy in all these cases! Please continue to pray, as none of the 4 mentioned are totally healed yet.

Pray for Pavani

Brother Raju (right) and his wife Pavani (far left) lead our children's ministry in India. In the photo, they are with Sister Bharathi (one of our widows) and her son Arun (part of our children's ministry). They are spending time together in Raju & Pavani's home. Please pray for Pavani, who is currently having some kind of "infection" in her blood and lungs, and is having difficulty breathing. She is under treatment. She's a precious young lady, and very valuable in the ministry. Most everyone we work with has love for Pavani.
