Profiles of Baptism Girls

Brother Benjamin (pastor on right) is talking with Mahima (her name means "glory") before giving her baptism. We are limited in how much information we want to share with you about the children because some of them are also seeing these posts. If we use the word "orphan" or talk about the poverty of their family, or their mother committing suicide, etc., you can imagine the sadness they might have in their hearts. There's also the issue of one child sharing the information with another child in a wrong way. Because many of them are poor in their English knowledge, they might not understand accurately what is being written. So with these things in mind, our main goal is to lift them up in JESUS, not to embarrass them or make them sad.

Mahima and the 2 girls behind her, Sowmya and Suma, all took baptism on this day in late November. Mahima's parents are alive and good believers, very faithful to attend prayers and to walk with the Lord. They struggle with Mahima (9th grade) and her sister Swarupa's education fees, Swarupa in the 11th grade (in India they call it 1st year intermediate, but it's the equivalent to a junior in high school in the US). RHM (your donations through us) is assisting both these girls with their education. Sowmya and Suma are two of 5 children in their family, both parents alive, but struggling financially. RHM doesn't assist these 2 girls, although we hope to when more funds are available. We're assisting their younger sister, Sreeya (8th grade, who also took baptism on this day), and one of their younger brothers, Danny, with education. We visit their home regularly, and involve all 5 children in ministry and excursions when possible. Pray that these girls who took baptism will remain faithful to the Lord, grow strong in the Lord, and become His witnesses wherever the Lord would position them in this world.
