Pray for This Child

We had an unsettling experience today during our children's meeting. While many children were in the process of writing their Scripture exam, Asiya (about 11) passed out. You might remember this child, a girl we asked you to pray for several months ago, and again in January. Last November she was hearing voices, seeing visions, screaming, falling unconscious. When her family first brought her to the church (fearful she was going to die), the pastor and church members also were concerned for her life, but prayed for her deliverance. She has been doing much better, but occasionally goes into unconsciousness. Her 4th grade classmate (also in today's meeting) said this sometimes happens in her school also. Today, she we unconscious for about one hour. We prayed for her for most of this time. Finally, with her body in slight convulsions and her eyes rolling back and forth, she slowly began to revive. Pray for Asiya. We have seen a beautiful work taking place in her heart, as she now comes faithfully to church services and Sunday School. Before the prayers in November, she didn't come. Pray for her family, as they are Muslims, and still are not seeking the Lord as they should. The Lord is doing something here, and is faithful to bring about the needed miracles.

Defending the Widow

Our GOD is called a "Defender of widows". Psalms 68:5 says that a "Father of the fatherless, a Defender of widows, is GOD in His holy habitation." And Psalms 82:3 says that we are to "Defend the poor and fatherless..." The Lord is the "Defender", but oftentimes He does that through human beings who have His compassion in their hearts. Sometimes "defending" the poor might be simply helping them in some tangible way when there's no one else there to do it. Satan (the ultimate "thief") "comes only to steal, kill and destroy" (John 10:10), and bombards many widows with loneliness, and a sense of being helpless and hopeless when most of the people around them have no heart to comfort them. A recent example: A 27 year old young woman named Anusha recently lost her husband to leukemia on March 12th. She and her 1 year old boy have gone to her mother's home in a village. Sadly, most of the villagers do not want her there. They feel that there is some kind of curse in seeing a widow's face, so they try to avoid her. She is supposed to only stay inside her mother's home for a certain number of days. And the saddest part of this? Most of these people say they are Christians! Job said, "I made the widow's heart sing for joy" (Job 29:13), and yet all around the world, even believers are doing the very opposite! Let us be TRUE Christians, and reach out with His love to defend the helpless and widows from Satan's attacks.

1st Prize!

Brother Prasanth (who helps us much in implementing the ministry in India) is giving a prize to NAVYA for being the "Best Student" in her school during the 2022-23 academic year. We are very happy about Navya, not only a good student, but more importantly, a girl with a tender heart for the Lord and an obedient spirit. It is actually a little unusual that a school with grades nursery through 10th grade would choose an 11 year old in the 6th grade as their best student. RHM is helping Navya and her older brother with their education.

Planting Seeds

Brother Marthababu is sharing the Word of GOD with Sister Sunitha and her 2 children (Srujan on left) and Shainy. Much of the mnistry is like this: nothing glamorous, but faithfully and regularly going to sow the seeds of His Word, and to demonstrate His love. Pray for His anointing upon us as we go, as well as His protection, health, provision and everything needed to do His work among the precious people.

Once Again in India

I (Dan) am very thankful the Lord has once again open the doors to return to India. Several times it seemed the door might be closing, but for His purposes He continues to keep the door open. Praise the Lord! Below is the welcoming committee as I arrived at the train station a couple of nights ago. There's a few more, who for some reason didn't make it into this particular photo. All the children in the photo are recipients of RHM assistance (the Lord through us), and most of the adults are part of the ministry outreach to the people. Very thankful for their desire to come to the station.

New Clothes for the Children

One of the things we did with Christmas funds this last year was distribute some extra clothes to all 62 children we work with. All 62 received at least one new dress, but 18 of those children received 2 or 3 pairs because their need was greater. We thank GOD for His provision for the children, and for those of you who gave to help us at Christmas time. Below are sisters (from left) Divya, Kavya and Soniya. Their mother left their Daddy a few years ago because of abuse; the mother works as a laborer at construction sites to try and provide for her and the 3 girls.

Pray for Anusha and Jonah

Anusha lost her husband recently, Prabhakar's body dying of leukemia earlier this month. They, along with little Jonah, have been attending one of the churches we're affiliated with. Anusha has also helped with some of the Sunday School classes. We're all very sad about his passing, but trust that he loved the Lord, and that our Father, the "Father of mercies and GOD of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3), will comfort and strengthen Anusha and the baby over the future months and years.

Precious Children

Brother Raju sharing some things with the children (and making them laugh) during a children's meeting in February. Pray for the Lord's blessing upon Brother Raju & Marthababu, their wives, Sister Mary and others who are involved in reaching out to the many children we're involved with in ministry. About half of these children in the photo are ones the Lord has us helping with education and other needs in their families. The other children are from the surrounding community and other local churches. Praise the Lord that He's given us a part in their lives. Isaiah 54:13 says, "All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children." and we're trusting in His mercy to make that a reality within the lives of all these precious little ones.

Village Ministry

Ribca (Rebecca, about 6 years old) showing her artwork. It seems to be from the story of Rahab letting the 2 spies down the wall in the Book of Joshua. The Scripture may be from Acts 16:31 about His great salvation. Pray for the village ministry, RHM working with a brother named Bhaskara Rao, who specializes in children's ministry. He is working in 5 different villages at this time.
