Children in what they call "tuition", but others might call tutoring. We are so thankful for Sister Mary, who has these tuition classes 5 or 6 evenings a week at her home (here in her verandah, or porch area). Some of the children we work with in ministry are in her class, so RHM is paying her some salary for that. If the climate is good, they often go up onto the flat roof for class. A few of the children don't attend school faithfully, and the quality of their govt (public) school is pathetic, so she works hard to try and instill within them at least the basics of reading, writing and math. Most of the children do attend schools regularly, and go to the tuition class so that they can do their homework without all the distractions at their home, and to ask Sister Mary for help if they are not understanding any classwork. The tallest girl against the wall, Nageena, is part of our children's ministry, and is very faithful to attend school and these classes. Please pray for our children's ministry, and for more donations so that in the Lord we can reach out to more children, but also do more to help children we're already involved with (education, food, clothing, medical, spiritual life).
