This is Akshaya (15) and her grandmother, Yesumma. Akshaya's mother married her own mother's brother (Yesumma's brother), thus marrying her uncle. This uncle cheated Akshaya's mother out of her money and property, then left when Akshaya was very small. The mother later married another man, but only with the agreement that this new husband would not be responsible for Akshaya. Sadly, the man was willing to keep Akshaya's younger brother, but not her. So since she was about 5 years or younger, she has been with her grandmother, Yesumma. There was a grandfather, but he was an alcoholic and didn't provide for the home. He died in 2023. Yesumma (who now has various health problems) has always worked hard to try and care for Akshaya, having a very loving heart for her. Please pray for Akshaya and her grandmother.
